I have enjoyed this track, thank you for sharing it. It's masterful. I cannot help to be reminded of Vangelis' amazing opening for Blade Runner (I mean this as a compliment, in the sense that the atmosphere you create is similarly deep and full of wonder, though your piece is a bit more myaterious). I am far from home currently and only brought my Crave with me. I have not taken it out yet. Your track has inspired me to try to do something more atmospheric, perhaps (I may be limited by not having brought any effects either). We tend to forget how amazing these synths we can now buy for next to peanuts are - thank you for reminding me. I really like deep and atmospheric sound and always use reverb. It may seem wrong to someone that there is so much of it, but I can't do without it. I am literally swimming in this ocean of sound and flying in the endless expanses of space. Reverberation is my little secret that I share with everyone who watches and listens to what I do. I am happy that I have inspired you to new searches with CRAVE. This is really a very inexpensive, but very cool synthesizer with a greasy sound. And I am so glad that the time has come when there are a lot of available synthesizers. Well, if you get a zoom ms70cdr or something like that, then I'm sure you'll get a lot of fun and inspiration. Thank you for your comment and question! My favorite effect in the drone is a very deep reverberation and its variations, also delay. To be honest, I don't remember what specific effects other than reverb I used in this live. Perhaps a slight phase shift was used there and I like that too =)

I understand you! The step you are about to take is serious. This needs to be sorted out. Well look. The signal (sound) itself that the CRAVE synthesizer will produce without any effects pedal (processing) will be dry and will not have the effect of spatial reverberation or delay. To get the sound that you hear in this video, you will need at least a zoom ms70cdr effects pedal or its equivalent, or a good reverb with various reverb algorithms. Without an effects pedal like this, there's no point in buying just the CRAVE. I would also recommend the Behringer Neutron - it’s an excellent synthesizer capable of a lot and it’s very interesting to experiment with and create drones. Find a video on my channel where I create soundscapes and textures on it. This can be found in the "playlists" section. But it would be nice to buy a reverb for it too. I hope I answered you. But if you have anything else, ask me more :)

It depends on how you approach this issue. This could be the first synth in your setup. But if you only have that and nothing else, you might get bored quickly. But if you plan to connect it to your DAW, then it’s good as a first one. The sound is fat and rich, almost like a Moog) 100% worth the money!

And all this was recorded on a TASCAM recorder. In ZOOM, I used one of the reverberation types and something else... Watch some more of my videos. There are a lot of interesting things there. Ask questions. I will try to answer =)
