if you want the reason why China aggresive build artificial islands within Philippines sea.. learn about during joint exploration between Vietnam, Philippines and China 15 years ago during Arroyo administration.. and China found huge natural gas resources within Philippines Sea near in Palawan.. that's why most chinese artificial islands and militarized are located near in Palawan to secure natural gas resources for them.

The Indian-Pacific region has remained peaceful since after the Vietnamese war where the US was defeated, has grown with each country having mutual respect relations with each other and has contributed in many ways to the world. The Indian-Pacific region should not be dragged to the war the US is trying hard to create. Whatever issues countries in this region has with each other should be resolved with mutual respect for each others culture, values and aspirations.

As far as comparing the crisis in Taiwan straight & SCS is concerned, there is a possibility that China might be looking at a sustainable instability with regards to the Philippines as it is pursuing on the LAC with India. Whereas the sentiments in Taiwan straight are much higher.

Patience are running out in Philippines military establishment just recently our armed force chief of staff announce proportionate response to Chinese CG and militia. This means the previous Philippines policy of maximum tolerance to Chinese provocation is over and the Philippines is practically saying they're ready for a tit for tat should China decide to escalate further.

@@Pongzkie1974 that depends on what assets PH is using. Last time PH used special forces and lost to Chinese Coast guards. PLAN then sailed near PH waterways and Marcos ordered PH military to lower tensions instead. Thus I don’t see tit for tat. It’s all for show
