I DID sue my brother for contract and fraud over a house I was buying from him. He waited until I cleaned it up and fixed up, moved in and he wanted it back. Served me with eviction. We eventually settled but it cost me $12k more than agreed upon. It would have cost more to move again. I cut ties with him after that. That was 20 years ago. It was about principle.

They definitely should’ve gone to Judge Mathis instead. Judge Milian runs a tight ship and doesn’t like a lot of out-of-turn talking, joking around, or lack of courtroom decorum. And I like that about her normally, but this time it stifled what could’ve been a more entertaining case. Judge Mathis would’ve let them have fun before getting to the facts. 😂 Also, Mathis is more inclined to give you what you ask for. Milian don’t play with the People’s Court wallet. If you can’t prove it, she’s gonna give you the minimal value. 😂

If you listen to the case, you see that the brother gave $100 for the chain. That means he admitted he lost it. The plaintiff said he paid much more for it. The question comes up, how much is the chain worth. If it’s real gold, it’s worth thousands. fake $100 .

Amazing that litigants never let it slip. I guess they would edit that out if they did. If the litigants paid the judgments, it would literally be exactly like going to court. And you can’t just make up your own courthouse and judge anywhere that’s legally binding. This is arbitration with no consequences and I love it. But it is funny how everyone pretends they gotta pay
