Don't buy a dog you can't afford. Raising a dog is more than just the initial payment. If you can't afford to buy it, you probably can't afford to raise it properly either. They're not toys, so there are food, vet bills, grooming, damage cost from peeing/pooping, etc. It adds up. Please be responsible pet owners everyone.

I'm an American Bully breeder. My dogs are show animals. And come under strict contract for reasons just like this. Just hearing 1500 for one of these dogs is absurd to me. That's pet home price for my animals which means no papers or breeding and contract includes spaying and neutering ! You're not getting well-bred American Bully for that price. The debate on breeder vs rescue needs to end. It’s ridiculous. People go to breeders because they want a SPECIFIC breed or wanting a clean slate on a dog. Rescues are really just a gamble. I disagree with "pure breds are better than rescues"!! Yes you will know the ancestry and where the dog comes from, but that does not include "easy to train" and/or "healthy genetics"! In fact many rescue animals have been worked on with rehabilitation to get them ready for a new home! And dogs of mixed breeds are generally more healthier when it comes to genetic issues. Don't shop, adopt!

Adoption and buying from a reputable breeder ( not some backyard breeder who breeds just because they have a dog or from a pet shop that gets their dogs from puppy mills) are both perfectly good options.
