Been reading a lot of Hegel recently, and it occurs to me that Heidegger's ontic aligns with what is called 'particular' in Hegel, and what is ontological with what is 'universal.' just a possible link, may not be a one to one match. Anyways, great video!!

There is undoubtedly a connection as Hegel looms large for Heidegger. The question that interests me is, given the evident similarities and influences, is: how does Heidegger handle the dialectic of particular and universal differently than Hegel?

@@SingularityasSublimity yes I'm wondering this as well. I think Heidegger has a lecture series on phen of spirit that was published. So the details should be there. But I also wonder not what he explicitly thinks about hegel but what he takes from hegel that is not explicitly stated or admitted to.

Though admittedly the alignment of universal/particular to ontic/ontology is probably unfruitful/hasty. Being is a universal. But all kinds of universals must be operative in ontic considerations as well.
