Sadhguru came to Chicago and I didn't even know. I hope he comes back again. And I'm glad he came to my city.

that is very true, too much money and people are transfiguring and disfiguring themselves

Thank you Sadhguru for highlighting this issue that is dehumanising our society and destroying our planet. I reckon we can blame the 'money at any cost' syndrome that is driven by the greed of capitalism. We need a more balanced economic structure based on humaneness first & the gathering of dollars should be a bit lower on the list of priorities. Om Shanthi

my father used to say " Three things destroy a child / person. 1st - the time which parents don't know HOW the child is spending. 2nd - the money , irrespective of amount, the parents don't know , on WHAT he is spending; 3rd bad company. even bad company is also of 3 types - a) the people having bad habits but don't realise & unknowingly transmit those. b) those who realise their bad habits & willfully transmit those habits to others. so, if parents are alert , there is no way a child can go astray . if a parent cries in front of the society " hamaare ghar me kahan se aa gaya / gayi ye kapoot " ; they are telling a lie. they knew beforehand what was going on & were silently supporting the activity.

But when your born in poverty, you want to escape that, how can one think what’s the greatest thing I can do, becoming an artist instead of a software engineer will not help me do that. That’s the unfortunate reality that you are enslaved and you take loans to do things in life, your stuck now working to make a living and pay the loan

Sadguru is saying that money should be easier than we are making it. Ofcourse before we have that we must struggle. There is no escape. To get to such a point, yoga is a very useful technique to align the self with the universe.

Sadguru namaskaram. It's really unfair to blame the children, for what the society Of so called, educated, intellectuals brain-wash them into. This craving for slavery of livelihood is not in the traditions of this land but grossly imported or imposed upon us. To be born, learn and living to serve your "master". Perhaps till about a few centuries ago, each human in this land was contributing to society around him with what best they could do, be it making pots, story telling or growing crops and what not. Only now that we have these hierarchical webs of commercialization of human endeavours, all to earn their own living. What topping to have on your pizza, and ability to come up with your choicest order from the menu is the biggest challenge and achievement for most people's brains today. And obsession with the so narrow 4- constuents of food. "What you do for living" and "what you eat for living" - simply 2 diversionary tactics with which the so called developed societies are high ja cked into being captive consumers. I don't think there's easy way to break out of this trap, more so for young individuals. What if I had taken a path like yours but failed to be enlightened as you are. The fear of "na Ghar ka, na aashram ka" is not formidable. Pranham.

There is no loss on this path. Even if you fail to gain enlightenment, in the next birth being born in good family as a support and your natural tendencies innate within you will guide you to continue your journey ahead, thus helping you to reach to your goal, for sure. (Krishna to Arjuna in Bhagavad Gita) 🙏✨

Beautifully said rameshv. I feel the same way. The culture has adjusted out of alignment with how we are meant to be living. The rising mental illness and separation from our feelings and emotions and authentic expression is simply a symptom which indicates that our current culture is toxic for us. And, it is not easy to separate from--empathy for this would do more good than telling people to fix themselves in my opinion. We humans are supposed to be a team!

He never blamed the children here. He did mention that Indian families tend to push their fears onto their children.
