Unfortunately the anime skipped over that part...but that section was from Freya's perspective, and the viewpoint treated and referred to Syr as being a different being and existence from herself. Plus, it also confirmed the two of them being in completely different places nowhere even near each other during the depicted timerame (specifically, the war with Rakia and Ares Familia, Freya spent the whole time on the front lines of the fight, and Syr was still in Orario). Now, there's definitely *something* going on between the two of them, and not just in a "Syr is working with/for Freya" kind of way or Syr being part of the Freya Familia, they have some sort of deeper connection than that. But they're very clearly different people and separate entities from each other.

There's enough to warrant suspicion. 1)Protected by top tier Freya talent. Surrounded by high level protection, and afforded even higher level discrete protection when not at the Hostess. 2)Works, at a business that is the sort of front for the Freya familia she'd start if she wanted to experience a normal life, but doesn't live there like all the other employees. Seems to have say over Mia. 3)Both interested in Bell, and both at about the same time, and is the personal vehicle for some of Freya's gifts to Bell. 4)Her ability to read people that borders on godly.
