After owning both the supercharged V8 Jaguar and the quattroporte SI have to say that while the Jaguar has a more cosseting softer ride I think the Maserati is a better (more engaging) all-rounder. Thanks for the video and God bless.

i want to love the maserati, i spend a lot of time now in italy. however my english ancestry reasserts itself, i owned a used 2004 xjr and put 50 thousand problem free miles on her, my local mechanic loved servicing the Jag and claimed was not different than the service of my f150 with the exception of the air ride. in fact he became the third owner and still owns to this day. currently i am looking at an xkr or grand turismo. the jag will probably win out again but you never know.

That Maserati is not an S. Its a GT S. It has the grill, the headlights, the door handles and the window trim of the GT S. Except the exhaust pipes are not right. So it's either an S with GT S parts, or it's the GT S with S muffler tips.

Hello, thank you for the feedback. This blacked out Quattroporte S can fool even the experts into taking it for a Sport GTS. Here are the differences between this Quattroporte S and the Sport GTS: - the Sport GTS has unique upholstery using alcantara inserts, as opposed to the S that has all leather upholstery. - the Sport GTS has the unique electronic RPM gauge that you can toggle on/off from the menu button. It gives you a visual representation of your RPM with this green arc around the gear display ("D") - the Sport GTS sits a couple of inches lower than the S. I know this because the GTS I had would not clear my driveway if I didn't place some 2x4 pieces to lift it by 1.5". This QP S does not require any lift to clear my driveway. - One quick visual giveaway is the oval exhaust tips in the Sport GTS, as you correctly pointed out. All the other Quattroporte cars (including the S) have the quad tips. - If you are inside, the Sport GTS will proudly display "Quattroporte Sport GT S" above the glove compartment. The "S" will only display "Quattroporte S". - Last but not least, the Sport GTS is so much LOUDER than the S, especially when you touch the magic Sport button :-) Check out my Sport GTS video I posted a couple of months ago. You will see all these differences I mentioned. Take care, friend.

This is an S model, not GTS...Val is right, you can see by the arches height above the wheels, not as low as a GTS. Also the exhaust design..

@@LeoVinteler I laid put both option in my post. It was 1 or the other. I own an S, so it looked just like mine, but it had the gt s parts. Or, it was a gt s with s parts. But as he cleared up, it's an S.

The Jaguar is a very nice car - but it can in no way compete with the Maserati Quattroporte. The Italian just has much more style and character!

quick jaunts around town?! What a ridiculous thought! I only want one, and that is the Maserati. Or two Maseratis. I never heard of any Jaguar being reliable. I could easily be the other way around the Maserati picking up the guy with a broken Jaguar.
