actually, it's a flip-down glass door. I built this cage from an old dresser.. remodeled it with a glass door on the front and a removable glass viewing pane on top.

I'm partial to Blueys, but I think they are a little more sturdy than beardies. I think a blue tongue skink could probably take a bearded dragon down in a fight.. although I'm pretty sure such a situation would probably not happen. Blueys are more muscley than beardies

You don't have to feed them mice. Mice should be occasional treats as stated in the description. And if you REALLY want to, just feed a frozen/thawed pinky.

Animals eat other animals live in the wild all the time. It's barbaric to keep an animal in a cage period, so while YOU'RE at it, you might as well be as unbarbaric as you can by making it as much like the real world as possible.
