In country I find peace of mind and heart. My friends are always amazed by me and say to me I'm old school listening to old country and rock but who I'm i to care. They just don't know the good hidden vibes they miss in these songs. This two boys brought me to CountryMusic when I was 16. Now I am 63. I loved Country for so many years. It was a wonderful time. The Bellamy Brothers were and they are still great!!! The other Country of today is not mine any more. There was a song in the 70ies that sayed "And the Country song for ever lost its soul, when the guitar player turns to Rock&Roll" Nothing more to say!!!!

I beleive this was "Missisipi" ( spelling?) by The Pussycats". My husband and his buddy used to sing this during their partnership. He is no longer by my side unfortunately but I have his music to comfort me. We both loved true country music such as the fabulous Bellamy Brothers. ❤

I love, love, love the Bellamy Brothers! I have loved them since 1976. Their voices sound just like they did back then. They harmonize better than anyone. Simply the best! They just keep making great songs with great lyrics. Some of their songs that I really love I will play over and over. I have seen them in concert two times in the last few years. They are awesome!! I hope they keep going for many more years!

That is the way country music supposed sound like, not what Nashville records now. They ought to read comments, then they would know how many people still love the old classic kind. The newer generation loves those new kind of country. Guess Nashville thinks we be biting the dust soon and don't have to please us any more. I plan to stick around for a lot more time and miss our country that is played with steel guitar and fiddle. This new country music really sucks and I wont listen to it. We have a few artist left that stick with there roots. After they are gone, I have plenty of their music to listen too. I will listen to those old timers any time on you tube or my own collection. I have enough to listen too for my life time. Nashville can stick their new kind where the sun don't shine.

Lyrics of song : As the Psychedelic cowboy left impressions On a half empty bar room he just played And the hippie girl from Austin waited patiently In the alley to fulfill the plans they made They drove the Studebaker toward the sunrise And pulled into the cactus tree motel The sky glowed like mesculine around them As they promised love no love song could fulfill If you ever leave I'm going with you Words whispered softly in the night We may have been high When we wrote it in the sky But I'll keep that promise with me till I die A wild painted pony crossed the highway An omen that we both thought was good Like a morning lullaby or eagle as she flies Signs we could have not misunderstood If you ever leave I'm going with you Words whispered softly in the night We may have been high When we wrote it in the sky But I'll keep that promise with me till I die Now the years twist us like two broken arrows But our symphony still plays a sweet refrain Just lofty love and laughter we gave into Two old weathered hearts that dared to dream If you ever leave I'm going with you Words whispered softly in the night We may have been high When we wrote it in the sky But I'll keep that promise with me till I die Oh I'll keep that promise with me till I die
