And they’ve practically removed siphon life in favour of people using unending corruption. That, paired with the soul shard spender not being a DOT makes me think… why are we removing DOTs from the DOT spec? I thought it would have been cool to turn shadow bolt into a projectile DOT that does the same damage but means you could stack a couple on the target if your haste was brrrr enough.

I fucking hate all the BM changes honestly, lost a lot of options with forcing things that used to be on the general tree into the spec tree and nerfing a lot of other options, along with a lot of options being spread out across other talents meaning you have to spend more points get back less than what you had before... Not to mention the loss of stampede as well, leaves general capstones feeling pretty shit. And what's with the obsession with trap talents, there's like 8 trap related talents in the general tree, I don't use traps as a BM, I don't need them, stop trying to shoehorn me into the obnoxious fuckers.

@@DuoSpear When it was a choice node with chakram sure, but now they're both gone so you're fucked either way. But stampede was a cooler looking ability that felt like a BM ability, that would've actually made sense to move into the BM tree and give it some tweaks to make it better. Maybe lower it's cooldown and damage but make it track the enemy rather that stay in one place, put it in the spot where barrage is now since barrage feels super out of place in the BM tree and both fulfil an aoe role. Also make the visual use your stabled pets, not generic gorillas and cheetahs. I'd like some actual class design, not just cutting anything non-optimal.

It can come in absolute clutch when you're getting dogpiled or if you need to kill a lot of things at once. it was basically my Only AOE next to the focus leech that is Multishot. Now I just spam 10000 beasts and stick bombs on mobs, the only thing that pisses me off more than loosing stampede is losing my Wailing Arrow, but bursting shot/"no, YOU disengage" kind of sort of replaced it.

Im not so fond of traps since they kept removing them and then giving them back, but Im a stubborn little shit so I basically grab whatever I want and will avoid traps like the plague, Traps should be a marksmen or survival thing tbh, like 80% of my talents are all about making kill command better, Call of the wild is okay and by the end of a big fight I have like 6-8 beasts behind me from all my dire beasts, its okayish but its very much a case of being forced to take things you don't necessarily want to take something you do, but it was like that before so its kind of same same but different for me.

The main one I'm disappointed in is Shadow Priest. God I wish they had given us a Hero Talent Tree that brought back the Legion insanity minigame proper, it was so fun to try to push it to the very fullest. God, I'd love for that to return, bonus if with the option to die at the end of it again in favor of staying in Void form for a bit longer lol

I moved away from SPriest because of that insanity minigame. It did feel amazing when you were in voidform, but outside of it, it felt just bad. It's like junkie gameplay. Get that high, then feel horrible itching for your next hit of insanity. I loved SPriest from Mists/WoD, but that playstyle is long gone :/

Arcane Mage is as good as you say! Feels so good to play now, the rotation makes sense and they have less button bloat, this might be my main ranged spec in WW, feels very powerful and intuitive.

marksmanship had some problems fixed still has a lot remaining. the class tree changes are welcome but the spec tree leaves quite a bit to be desired. for aoe it's especially bad, st is fine enough but you're so starved for talent points on aoe, it feels horrible. you can't really "dip" in and mix st and aoe, it's completely one or the other, this has been a problem since the reintroduction of the talent trees. things like the absolute most basic function of aoe damage in multishot being locked behind a talent (compare with things like warriors not having to talent for whirlwind, or dps shamans for chain lightning). there's a lot that still could be done.

The dev evoker changes were a tragedy. They gutted the skill expression portion of chasing extensions. It feels fine in st with the new max of 20 seconds but in AOE it feels like we have been gutted. We are talking about 45 seconds our cool down down to 35 . It was the only thing that made our AOE comparable to others and it's been taken away. The justification for the removal was because of the way PI interacted with the class. This is like the 3rd class that has had to be reworked because of PI. Just get rid of PI and so many issues can be solved.

Agreed. The hero talents are actually pretty bad for Scale Commander when you start understanding how to use the spec, and the abilities. Having to pop Eternity Surge, and Breath to MD, even on a single target, so the Disintegration gets the buff is silly. The black spell damage talent is pretty useless as spells are blue, and red for dev evokers. Overall, I am disappointed in Evoker.

Hard disagree with MM Hunter. Yea we got a rework… BUT! Non of the issues the rework has caused where adressed since. Dead silence for 8 weeks without any changes or responses. We can‘t get all AoE Talents because every Talent is an AOE talent. This leads to many dead Talents for example Rapidfire barrage and Killzone. To many talentpoints to unlock basic AoE with trickshots. To many talentpoints for unlocking bais functioning of the spec so stady Shot giveing focus and Arcane shot cost reduction wich should be baseline. And so on. Alsow Dark Ranger is so underwelming an creates unnecessary friction that makes me belive Blizz Just don’t care, becaus they have to take care of mages and there next rework.

A lot of the Devastation negatives got fixed/tweaked in between filming and releasing this video - namely they've seemingly improved the Dragonrage extensions. Firestorm is still forever a clusterfuck, and Devokers still have the "issue" of likely living in the shadow of Augvokers (at least until Blizzard add more support specs xD)

I want to see your similar vids as ranged-DPS and melee-DPS so I can get your sense of how healers have been looked at (or not, or half-baked). Having been an Evoker main since the release of Dragonflight, I find myself fatiguing with Blizzard's lack of clear vision on Preservation and most definitely Devastation (given that they made the gameplay loop static and brain-dead easy with the animosity nerf). Aug really does feel like a complete package, and it's frustrating that the main reason it so firmly overshadows everything else is that it basically got all of the utility and QoL the other two specs have been asking for since DF's beta. It's especially demoralizing when the hero talent trees for Evoker generally are so, so, so good. Sure, Aug isn't required in anything but the highest tier of content, but there's something to be said about everyone expecting you to roll aug the moment you touch Evoker -- and that it's objectively better in coordinated group content.

Affliction has a big problem. With sim data finally coming out, turns out Blizzard completely missed the Wither bug affecting affliction, giving it an invisible 45% dmg increase coming from a destro spec talent thats active while in affliction. Then they go and nerf wither to try balance things. Once they figure out their mistake, affliction will get gutted because how they address issues like this in retail. Also, for demo, on beta, not retail, F'harg scales with haste while Shatug doesnt, making F'harg the choice for both aoe and single target. Hope we see some more fixes. P.S. if you think aff is a loser spec, youre doing it wrong and warlock isnt for you.

All these changes can be fun, but it makes it pretty difficult to play multiple classes/specs across expansions, because every new expansion makes everything you learned & mastered, irrelevant. It’s also a bit of a kick in the teeth for returning players. Like, I can’t stand ZOS’ business model (they go even harder on FOMO than Blizz) but at least I know if I ever decide to log on to ESO, even years later, I can count on my character being relatively unchanged. I can hop in, get reacquainted quickly, and be on my way. I would kill for that kind of class stability in WoW.

I really don't think it's fair to compare Dev to Aug. They serve two completely different purposes. One is pure dps while the other is a glorified support spec. Not everyone wants to play buff your buddies during content. Some of us want to just burn things to the ground. From a dps perspective, I don't even consider Augs to be DPS. They are their own niche and should be treated as such.

My main issue as a shaman main with the upcoming Hero Talents is that one's just more lightning spam, which is kinda fun but whatever, one's very fun with the ancestors but I HATE Primordial Wave as not only does it remind you of Shadowlands as all the other spells they copied over from there do, it just looks weird to use this randomly sickly green spell that's got nothing to do with the elements. And lastly, Totemic, the one fantasy I really wish we got back more as I know a lot of fellow shamans do, is not for Elemental.

As someone who was playing Demo casually for solo stuff in DF, this feels like a huge downgrade, specifically due to the fact that Implosion is mandatory now. I was able to avoid it before and get followed around buy an absolute horde of imps without having a 'blow them all up' button.

waiiiit, pls tell me marksman is still good WITH lonewolf..... i hate pets but i love mm hunter :((( it was so nice not to have to use a pet as a range non magical character :( does anyone know how bad mm WITH lonewolf is gonna be? i am not palying atm but i wanted to come back next week and play hunter again... pls help

I still do not understand why cataclysm isnt baseline for Destro locks, just adjust the numbers and give me a spec that is more fun to play. Game flow and how something feels is more important than if an ability hits harder, numbers can always be tweaked, but you can't so easily adjust game feel and playability.

I feel this video is made before the last update to the classes. Most of them are not that overpowered anymore, especially arcane and fire mage, frost is now the king according to icyveins. Also affliction lock has a much bigger dmg output then demo and destro after the patch.

The only thing I truly hate is removal of permanent pet for frost mage. Always loved my Water Elemental. I was actually hoping they will at some point add also fire elemental for fire mages and some arcane elemental. It feels for me like when they replaced druid's permanent healing form treant look with that rotten broccoli and even then was not permanently in that form. That literally made me stop playing druid healer. Not sure today, but have seen it is still by default rotten broccoli. Maybe there is something to do, but I have lost interest.

For me i hate water elemental and adding it to icy vanes killed the spec in my opinnion. Also arcane got its little familar wich is now an arcane birdo. Also sunfury mage will have ther phoenix

I don't understand why people think pack leader is boring, I'm a survival hunter and it seems amazing to me and will be my choice despite my class fantasy of the sentinel.

Because all it does is the same stuff BM already does, just more of it. Wow, _slightly_ more crit stacks, aotc is _slightly_ faster, defensives are _slightly_ more defensive, aoe does _slightly_ more aoe. It doesn't add any super cool visuals (like rider of the apocalypse or diabolist) or any new mechanics that change up how you're going to play the class (like sunfuy, hellcaller, or colossus). Doesn't feel like a "hero" talent tree, it just feels like extra ranks of shit you already have.

@@cnacma It all started when they swapped our primary focus-earner from dire beast to barbed shot for absolutely zero reason. What's cooler? Summoning lots of wild animals to tear your enemy apart or _shoot spiky arrow_ I'll parrot what a lot of people have said that BM should've been the melee hunter spec, imbuing yourself with animal aspects and working in close tandem with your pet, unlocking special capabilities on your pet that other specs can't, besides just the exotic families since they basically don't matter anymore outside of cosmetic.

Affliction warlock is a big loser - the move towards doubling down on the infamous Malefic Rapture, even upping the shard generation chances for spamming the ability more also not only moves damage further away from DoTs towards this disliked spender, but also ups the impact rng has on your output - and I'm sure Affliction locks will tell you they already have enough rng as it is, both rotational and output. Even if you ignore gameplay and focus on the thematic side of things, the slow damage-over-time spec itself is now spamming a nuke spender is just off. These are bad changes, there's no two ways about it.
