I saved up early for a PHLster. It worked so well I got a second set for my other carry. Being on a strict budget it really hurt but it def was worth it. That being said it was pricy but I am def happy. I do sometimes use an under belt with my standard holster and it works well but I find the PHLster does keep it more secure and closer to my body but as you said can be less versatile as far as positions higher up. But luckily as a dude it’s more ideal to keep it low. Thanks for putting out your content!

Yep, at home I can CCW like a pro, but out there when I need to I’m at the mercy of the criminals.

Also the hunterconstantine belt can do this because it’s elastic in parts I rock the belt just under my gym shorts and it keeps it tight enough to not drop or sag while running

I sometimes use my HC as an underbelt and it does work great! But comparing the two side by side I do feel my PHLster setups are more secure for me and more comfortable if not a tad less versatile and convenient

Load a full mag with dummy rounds to simulate real full weight.

This looks like a good option, but I don’t think it would work for us with bellies. Great gun handling by the way, nice technique.

Do you ever carry an extra mag as well? I was told I should, but the weight is just too heavy/bulky for me for everyday.

You can, but I wouldn’t say you must. There is an excellent KZbin channel called Active Self Protection where the host (a respected trainer named John Correia) has spent years analyzing civilian self defense situations, particularly those with firearms. The overwhelming majority of those are over in a few seconds with only a few shots fired. Of the thousands of videos he’s looked at, there’s literally been one (1) where civilian did a reload. Of course do whatever makes you feel best, but definitely consider this when making your decision 😁

@@j.r.1030agreed. I don’t feel any less prepared when I step outside without an extra mag everyday. Sometimes I’ll throw my Jframe on or in my pocket and I’m fine. I like to carry but don’t let fear dictate all my decisions. You got to enjoy life too.
