Everyone should keep in-mind that they have stated multiple times that this may not be the last time you hear the "Challenger" name, or that they reserve the right to use the "Challenger" name in the future. I'm guessing they are holding it in reserve as a hedge if the EV underperforms. Then if they can sort out the emission regulations, a couple or three years down the line they will release a redesigned V8 Challenger, along with _possibly_ a V8 version of the ICE Charger with the Challenger V8 engine in it. This would also give them the option of making a true coupe instead of a 2-door hatchback for those that really want a coupe.

It’s all about crashing. The design team did a great job with the concept, but they are just that. The design team. Any visual difference between a concept and a production car comes usually comes down to three things; crash radiuses, laws, and cost. There’s probably a dimensional reason that the concept couldn’t be put in production, OR a crash related reason about how the concept’s panels were shaped, OR it would just cost too much to make it legal looking EXACTLY like that. Or a mix of all three!

The ev hood would definitely work on the gas version. Change the radiator angle and perhaps slightly the location, change the aero for the upper half of the lower inlet to direct air upward toward the engine and rad and let the lower half cool the intercooler. Keep the extra large hood bulge, vent the hood to manage the air pressure and give even better aero. It'd work just fine. But it wasn't going to work just fine at a dodge price point. This idea is more for the aftermarket. Had i the means right now i'd be getting to work so this would be as close to available as possible, right as soon as the ICE versions come out.

There isnt such a thing as an EV muscle car. There isnt even such a thing as an I6 muscle car. Muscle cars needs 2 things, a V8 and the looks, this Charger has neither

A cool thing they could do because the combustion engine is a six cylinder six cylinders are small. They could do it like put it in the back so it’s like a mix between like supercar and muscle car like that’ll be a cool idea and before y’all get me the replies, this is only my own decision if you have any regrets I’m not against it and I just think it’s a good idea and the design is good for it too because the back is like the new Aldi so I mean it has some room for like a back engine or something. It’s not like flat and stuff please like this comment if you think that’s a good idea😊😊😊

I hate both of these cars but I would rather have 6 cylinders than no cylinders

With EVs you can send power to the front or rear wheels. Dodge will be introducing solid state batteries in 2026. I'll be switching to EV once those become affordable because those batteries charge faster, last longer, virtually inflammable, and aren't prone to hot or cold temperatures.

This is supposed to be a Dodge charger? Honestly they both look more like the trans version of what used to be a charger.

Stalantis has lost billions in less than a year, both the EV and weird 6 cylinder will both be failures. Folks will turn to mustangs and camero/corvette for ACTUAL muscle cars with a beloved v8

They already said the are going to put a V8 in it
