Ben, Would love to see a video that highlighted the 7-8 scramble techniques you keep mentioning in this video. I know about a couple but would like to see others. Great stuff as always.

Ben Askren was my favorite scrambler & was suspiciously omitted from your list.

Ben knows, it's why he was asked to make the list, not including gable S on that list is some nonsense, few heavyweights ever moved like him who's re attacks were half his scoring, the first half of Burroughs career, Zaurbek Sidakov, like Alex kruelin? Even strictly usa Dave Schultz, like so many people who did it at the highest levels Lopez, I'd put Spencer in there and Ferrari. Fix and Soriano, the scramble is going to be defensive more than offensive, the majority of scrambles are to get out get away while not giving up points and taking them if they're there, but that'd be the best reversals but I'd say scrambles happen out of defensive positions, you worry about scoring only after you've gotten yourself out of scoring, and re attacks are the most common forms of scramble, even ncaa I'm going Kary colate guys like that, even John Smith initiated a scrambles 1/2 the time he was going low single, it almost automatically led to someone who grabbed his leg so each guy has a leg and it's chess making your way to a dominate position to score points, they called Schultz the sly fox as a reason, the only world medalist I've seen move down a weight and earn world gold

Great list! I like how you gave guys credit for not being too reliant on their scrambles as well!

How about Darrion Caldwell? Spladeled metcalf than beat him again in ncaa finals with wild scrambles? All his matches were freaky and wild, always came out on top.

Ben - your wrestling knowledge is elite as was your college wrestling career. When are you going to be a Division 1 head coach? Asking for a friend. ;-)

I think he was saying he likes doing his own thing and just running his academy with his brother as he doesn’t have to deal with athletic departments and donors etc.

SOO glad you got Dylan Ness on that list. He was the very first guy that came to mind when I saw the title to the video, but I thought no way you'd have him! Yeah, he wasn't top-shelf talent, but you just never counted him out because of that scramble waiting to magically bust out from him. He was must-see every match. Few have that draw. He did.

Thanks for the commentary, Ben. Hadn't considered the variations of scrambling positions before. If you want to produce differentiated video content, you should hire a video editor to give insert clips for each of the wrestlers as you're narrating their techniques. Your match memory is pretty good, too, so you wouldn't have to sit down and filter for the clip yourself. Just tell your editor "hey go find the Jesse Delgado v. Nashon Garrett final and pull up the leg passes." Would draw a lot more viewers to your channel! Thanks!

Bens back became tired from carrying CP and Flo for so long….Dont go back….they punished you too long with the likes of JD and the kid from Michigan. Flo should replace JD with a cardboard cutout of Bernie from Weekend At Bernie’s.

JD is better than those dorks Kozak, Bray, and Ollie. It should be Bader, CP and Ben. People would listen to that. Or bring Willie Saylor back. Kyle Bratke was awesome too
