What I want to know is since the board has almost 100% changed hands, what is stopping them from removing the ban placed on you and others?

Good question. My guess with respect to it also being a bad move. Precedence. The board may not want to admit the prior board was wrong due to optics. Example : Ben Steoger could sue for defamation and prove he lost income due to being banned from his livelihood.

@@rurouniadI disagree with all your points listed. The old BOD has been perceived by a large number of members as a negative and reversing their prior actions would show the members that this new board agrees with the members. The idea of a lawsuit for lost of income would be very hard to argue since Ben has said multiple times in these videos that his work load/income has actually grown since the ban.

Thank you Ben B. for everything you are doing for the org and taking additional time for this video. Thank you Ben S. for asking tough questions and recognizing what many members are curious about. I hope the combo allows concerned members to see that change is occurring within the board and the org, and at a rate faster than anticipated. PLEASE DO THIS AGAIN IN THE FUTURE!

Sounds like the new managing director can bring the accounting up to a high school level. This is the core of USPSA problems. It is basic accountability of board and employee actions.

All this “change”, but people are still banned and a duly elected area director is still out. I’m having a hard time seeing it.

The board should not be running the org. They should only be providing oversight. A managing director should be running the business.

It seems the "employees " of uspsa are the biggest drag on the finances. There are people paid top dollar, but providing limited value. Certainly there are better cost effective ways to accomplish the goals.

It's cardboard targets, a timer, and some 2×4s. How are you losing any money let alone 300k. The sport isn't complex. People who want power make it that way

sure sounds like the organization is still broken. the board needs better ways for the membership to give input, and feedback.

I think the A6D is going to find it hard to get 7 votes to be more open about financial matters. IMO the BOD thinks that we the members are not worthy. Per my emails with the A1D, they are trying to find reasons to NOT let the members see what is a going on.

Haven't kept up with USPSA Org changes, so this interview with Ben has been insightful. Didn't realize much of the 'old guard' has (or will be) completely been replaced, so that's good to know. Seems others raised similar concern: when will Ben, Derek and others wrongfully banned from USPSA be reinstated as members? I'm coming up on nearly a year since shooting a USPSA match (August's Area 8), but I'm planning to jump into a match soon. That said, I still have NO plans of renewing my membership until all banned members have been reinstated.

(1) Budgets aren't really financial documents per se, they are plans for corporate priorities, and should not be subject to 10.2 (2) 2/3 of meetings being spent in executive session is ridiculously excessive (3)re: Todd Holmes being hired to be MD for the two remaining hand gun nationals: how much is he being paid? how was the position advertised; and what was the vetting/evaluation process for his selection?

Not a USPSA member, but I have competition shooter for 20yrs. This org is a royal cluster, and the most important thing to note is the business of USPSA is NOT a complicated endeavor. These people are not building the first spaceship to visit the outer solar system. This is not even as complicated as running a burger joint. What you have here is institutional ineptitude driven by people hell-bent on ego stroking and personal financial gain of some kind. Hire a GM to make the decisions. Boards are oversight tools. Good for ordering too many conference tables, pastries, and zoom meetings. How well is USPSA being run? Check the growth of PCSL.

Curious is why isn’t the president making more direct announcements and being the face for the organization? In his speech upon reelection, YML said he would be more vocal outward to the membership and there hasn’t been a post or video or statement from him in public view since - thoughts?

USPSA is cooked as the kids say. No sense trying to fix it when other organizations exist and events like the Cornhusker Clasic show us we don't need USPSA.
