Pausing may not be the fix for everyone. But I started doing it a few months ago. It started as freeze drills. I am FLUSHING IT! I don’t do it while I play but I may start.

No way it would for me. I am tall and struggle with sliding hips and over the top swing path. I think I would probably hit it 100 yards right. If I even could make contact with the ball.

The same issues that Ben mentioned about being a big draw player and getting stuck is what I suffer from when I get way too fast with my swing, I do a slight pause which brings everything back to square but not like Ben! Great video guys!

I've gotta thank Ben for the inspiration. I've really been struggling to compress my irons lately. I tried the pause in practice today, and the very first 7 iron was the best strike I've felt in a long time. I think I'm sold. Can't wait for the weather to warm up here in the northeast so I can try it out on the course.

I’m 140 years old and I invented Ben Hogan and hot dogs at the turn. I got my first fitting 10 years ago after breaking the Entwood longnose and niblick that I’ve used for over a century. I have been struggling to adapt my swing to my new metal clubs ever since. But thanks to Grant Horvat Teaches, the popular motion-picture streaming series on KZbin, my proficiency in the striking of the golf ball hath improved most substantially. The squadron with whom I partake in the game of golfing every Sunday plays for a gentlemanly wager, and it would seem that post Grant’s lesson, luck's been vibing with me, and I've started catching some dubs at the links and my crew is shook.

I watched the video you posted recently with Ben and started trying the pause. I tend to be flatter and can get too fast in my takeaway which always make me pull through the swing. Pausing has helped me slow down which has produced more consistent strikes and straighter since the pause allows my body to sync better. I may not be doing an actually pause like Ben but it feels that way which helps with my swing. Keep up the great work on this channel and your other channel, Grant. I look forward each week to watching and enjoying your videos. A SC fan.

Thanks Ben and Grant for playing golf on KZbin so golfers like me can benefit from not only watching great golf, but learning while remembering to play to have fun, unfortunately forgot to put into practice the pause in my swing which I need to do because of lack of flexibility and a slow back swing allows my body to take its time and pausing to transition into the downswing, definitely need more practice

Every player has different tendencies, so it's important to know that yours are. For someone who fires the hips a lot, trying to lead with the lower body may cause them to get ahead. So it's about knowing what you need to feel in order to provide better sequencing.
