I enjoy the fact that Mr. Shapiro mentions issues that concern him with apparently little regard how unpopular or unsettling they may be to Others. I think he's doing a good job highlighting his opinions and has obviously researched each subject he's raised. Whether or not I agree with him is of little importance to me. That he continues to engage in these dialogues is refreshing. I can easily depend on him to openly question and challenge issues of the day. That some People attempt to silence him is inevitable. That's the only danger I see in interactions with him. I'm glad to hear he's unmoved by that process and still speaks out - the conversation continues.

What makes him so effective in debates is his mastery of debating tactics (he comes prepared and can make you doubt what you thought was right in the first few minutes of a debate or make you look like a fool). Many of the debating tactics such as the one's he uses in this video though are deliberately misleading, and many of his arguments are seen to lack substance when they are researched and analysed.

hello Ben, I have read all the comments on this page and I believe every word you say. The commenters are correct in their praise for you. I live in Ireland and had a lot of problems with the authorities when I set out to fend for my family and me after setting up a little business. The authorities said they were right and would still remain against us. Although we had written to almost every one in the administration yet no one answered our questions or what we should do about it. This had been going on for about 30 years and we did not get the simple answered we had asked for. I wish Ben, that you were here in Ireland so that we could meet and talk about our problems.

Ben is the only individual in that room capable of rational argument. Richard makes petty arguments designed to appeal to the emotional responses of the viewer. He also consistently gets sidetracked with dogmatic partisan barbs, which have little to no bearing or relevance on the topics being discussed. Discussions of US politics by partisan news pundits repulse any and all sensible attempts to engage in a coherent policy driven dialogue, because the vast majority of Americans lack the meager mental faculties necessary to comprehend such arguments.
