doesn't matter how strong if you can't follow the commands. I'm sure he'll practice them the closer it gets to the meet. Could change the amount of weight pushed for sure

Jeah. I compete in the ipf and I've done 400lbs a few times in the gym but still havent been able to get it in a meet. Especially for us speed dependent bench lifters that long pause is quite difficult.

At 170lb, My 1 rep max for free bench was at 265lb. I was the leanest i've ever been, but been bulking up slowly to 195lb so I can cut that down to a lean 180-185lb. You're a big motivation for me bro

Yo! I'm in a similar situation. Im 5''9 230. Bench is only @ 280which im ok with but its def time for me to lose that excess lbs. This is inspirational for me. Havent been under 200 lbs since '11 so im def looking forward on the journey on being lean and keepin that strength. Keep up the vids brother!

Just started working out again. Maxed on bench at 240 I'm about 200 pounds at 6ft 1 though. Not impressive but it feels good to start working out again. Encouraging video and you're funny lol

For people asking why his butt goes in the air when he benches it's because that's the correct form you need to have an arch so you can use your legs to help bench press the weight

I'm no expert but a 5-6 minute rest by default is optimal for ATP regeneration. You regain roughly 90% of your energy back in a 5-6 minute rest. So that's also probably why meet rests are longer than what most people train with.

That's fucking dope man 1-1.5 lbs a week seems to be the sweet spot or at least from what I've heard. For you to bench that much weight is nuts. I weight 185 and I'm 5'10 and can barley fucking bench 225.

Ray Greenidge learn PROPER FORM, programming if you can start out benching with a retracted scapula all the way down, squatting to depth and not doing a bro split you'll be ahead of 99% of lifters your age. Also learn about what a surplus and deficit is.

ipwnu11b I'm from NZ man train out of my little garage I've never deadlifted or squatted ln my life only bench and arm workout started 2 months and 3 weeks ago i started lifting only to lose weight I'm 17 this year My numbers are low as fuck for my BW my max is 100kg plus the 10 kg bar if that counts but I weigh 114kg i don't know the conversion to pounds heal up soon man
