I just got one today. It came with this one component that I have no idea what it's for. It also came with a lot of screws. Any idea if I can send pictures or anything so I can get a clarification?

I like the review! A couple of things, the blood grooves are for the blade not to become trapped when stabbing. Allows you to pull it back out and it helps the suction that is created to not keep the knife inside. Also I do carry this IWB everyday, in the original sheath and It hides very flush on on. Extremely concealable. I’m 5’10” 180 lbs. it’s more than you need daily but like you said it’s a SHTF and I like to have it incase. I usually just carry a companion blade to use for standard tasks, cutting an apple, opening toys, spreading peanut butter or mayo, stirring coffee.

@@ScoopsTV I have the parachord on it. It’s comfortable and fits my hands well. I’ve used it for lots of hard use. Also the finish isn’t that strong. It started coming off pretty early.

@jacobatkins6978 yeah I wish they would have used DLC instead of the cerekote , it does much better on guns then knives . Did you tie the parachord handle yourself ? What pattern did you use ?

Seems to me that the folders get all the attention but I feel this is the more faithful design for it's intended use. I have an AD10 so I recognize what people love about heavy duty folders but if I'm honest with myself I'd rather go with this fixed blade to face uncertain times. Thanks for the review.

the folders do , you are right . i think its for EDC concealment ....ive done many videos on the folders and the autos but if the SHTF , this is what i am grabbing , thanks for watching

I don’t like paragons handles. I’d use tennis racquet grip tape or a ranger band. It looks awesome. Not sure if it could replace my Tops Mohawk Hunter.

I agree , I just ordered some G-10 scales for it because I just can't get the parachord to feel right . part 2 of this series. the firecraft 3.5 I honestly like better

I appreciate the design, but I wish they would make a version with 6-7 inch blade in .25 inch thickness and without those big holes in the handle. Three holes for scales screws are enough. Good presentation. Best regards.

Getting serious, in my vision a 6-7 inch blade length it's perfect for outdoor tasks and defense purposes if the situation arises and the .25 inch thickness, I want a knife that I can trust it will handle all that I could encounter in wilderness and that it will last a lifetime of sharpening.

The holes have a purpose depending on use you can use them for a bearing block if need be as well as other things
