Everyone saying it's a savo, it's not. Savo's use the actual holes closer to the center of the mesh to pull it to the side. This is basically a "U" nylon without the top part of the "U", stringing the channel is exactly the same which is what Joe asserted. And for those that are getting on Joe for putting the credit on Mac, this probably is Mac's idea, maybe not, you'll never know. Lastly, he said this is a theory. It can be wrong and it can be derived from other ideas. The aksavo works, but it's still unique in it's own way. This can also work, but it's still unique in it's own way.

It's legit nothing like an ak savo, he's not pulling the mesh down with the nylons, he's just giving it a tighter area for the ball to roll out of, it's ridiculous seeing all these people say they're ripping off ak savo, just because it may appear like one. For someone with as much stringing experience as wazzupsavo I'm really surprised he made such a big deal about this, when it really is a completely different method. I honestly have to think savo thinks too highly of himself as a stringing celebrity if something like this actually offends him.

You should almost try to fuse a shooter halfway or so in the sidewall so that the part of the string that is going to be the U is the shooter part. If you fuse it then it would technically be the same string.

This isn't an AK Savo pocket or variant? It may be inspired by the setup but it is not a rip off? This method shown by Joe is to get around the 4'' shooter rule, it doesn't create the channel and it certainly isn't the basis of the pocket strung into the stick, it's more like a sidewall pattern revision to replicate a U or V.

does anyone realize he already made the channel with the sidewall string halfway down the head. he just used the "nylon u" to add hold. other than look the aksavo pocket are very different. the aksavo pocket dosnt even use the outside diamon on the 10 diamond rows.

I do beleive that Savo should get a bit of credit or at least a mention, but he does not own the rights to the pocket, and the consepts are totally different. The AK Savo is used to create a very wide channel, whereas the "MAC Theory" is used to make a very tight channel. No one is trying to shove Savo under a bus, throne is not even going to be selling it. It would have been nice to give Savo a little credit though.
