I'm a retired press brake operator, If you have a fab shop near by, they might press it for you. Myself I would use a good neck punch to bend. one flange at a time. Use scrap to see what the BD die is pulling. Then bend. Should be able to hold +- .005 or even .010 would be fine. I have not done a AK build before. But I am about to. Sheetmetal will do what you want it to do with the tools and a little know how. But you would need undersize holes. Large hole will make the part pull. Now if you were to bend a large batch of parts you can use shims and backup blacks to get a consistent bend. Myself I would redrill holes to proper size. It makes a better bend.

Haha..I'm glad to hear that i am not the only one who makes stupid mindless mistakes while doing shit like this... When I drilled out my 80% AR lower I forgot to remove the rear bolt from the jig when drilling out the final relief hole for the fire control pocket. I was like what the fuck?? Why won't this shit drill... all the while I was drilling through the steel grade 8 bolt, and destroying my jig. I felt like such a dumb ass because the instructions clearly say to take that bolt out before drilling that hole, but these are just the type of mistakes that we makers make... Great job on your flat man, I see this project in my near future!

Can you use that jig for other flats besides Yugo’s?

Damn dude buy a tripod for your camera. I would love to watch your stuff but the shakiness makes it where I can't even watch it. Hit up a goodwill they have tripods sometimes and they are only 5 bucks.

I have a serious question, and I sincerely hope that someone with experience can answer it. In building any AK from a flat, wouldn't it be a good idea to lay the flat down, put the trunnions on the walls of the flat flush with the front of the flat, mark the inside of the flat through the trunnion, then drill a small hole (perhaps 3mm in diameter) in the very center of the mark from the inside of the trunnion while you can still see it. Fold the trunnion, then place the trunnion inside the receiver and finish drilling out the holes. Why have I never seen anyone drill a receiver this way?
