I learned all of this one of the harder ways possible. I’ve had so many injuries this past year and haven’t been able to consistently skate. Still can’t Ollie confidently and comfortably enough to try an Ollie up or down a curb even. 14 months in. Ive learned so much about stretching and strengthening other parts of my body. I can feel how close I am to being able to hit it hard and finally make progress and I’m hungry for it. I’ve put in the time healing and strengthening and I’m ready to kill it out there. It’s gonna be gooooooood

I would also include learning every trick in all stances, it creates diversity and balance for your body and mind. And a better trick bag 😉
@Nocturnus-vv1om23 күн бұрын
Fr some days I skate switch just to balance it up. It's also to throw your normal trick switch in a game of skate to get everyone a letter. 😂

Stretching really depends on the stretch itself. Many stretches temporarily shorten/ stiffen tendons and lead you to be more prone to injury while skating.

I got a pair of black cargo pants from American Eagle for 15$ canadian! They're stretchy and baggy! Great for boarding! Only downside is they're so cheap they don't have a fly 😅 Pockets are big tho! Just a suggestion cuz I hardly ever find cheap pants that are comfy! 🤙

Smoking a shit load of weed beforehand and then wondering why they cant skate today is something i saw very often….start your session sober!!
@PhoenixsWorldVideos23 күн бұрын
yeah can go either way. sometimes it helps, sometimes hinders. the real mistake is probably making a habit of only skating high
@kevinv.439113 күн бұрын
Well ... I only skate high.. That's a mistake? Might be.. But in my case, it helps me to only focus on what I'm doing, and not focus on other people. I've had it difficult to skate sober, I'd get mad real fast, but when I'm high I'll just keep going until my body fails to obey. Keeping in mind I only smoke half a joint, and not even that big of a joint.
@Nick-eu5lr13 күн бұрын
@ dont get me wrong. Skating high is the best :D Its like its made for each other! I get what you saying with the anger. When I‘m sober I stress myself more often that I have to land that Trick now…When I‘m high I just say whatever and try again later and often land it in a couple of trys. BUT! Smoking one or two jounts and then going skating super stoned never really works for me I feel like i have no balance… Warming up sober and smoking in the Session works really good for me. Often I just „feel“ it and just enjoy my skating Cheers!

You're supposed to drink a beer and send it, skateboarders today are the softest and lamest simps on the planet. "let me bless it with lime juice, waahhhhh" "I have no energy and no balls, waaaahhhh" "the concrete is hard and it hurts when I fall, waaaaaahhhhhhhh." That's all I hear. Just stay home dude

Good on you for trying to promote healthy healthy skateboarding practice but that's to me just exactly what skateboarding is not about, don't need a culture team somebody telling me to do this or that in progress tracking skateboarders go above and beyond your footage is tracking progression I'm planning out what you want to do, come on bro I know you don't think the guys in the videos show up at random spots in just try to learn tricks like they used to, obviously some tricks end up that way but most of the homies are hardcore OCD drive 6 hours to hit a specific 13 stair handrail to do a switch front feeble on, the whole video part is planned out meticulously, stretching is good for any exercise you just naturally progressing to stretching as you get older, play skateboarders have our own way of stretching, we warm up, play a game of skate, run through your tricks in order, you got to be a dummy to just show up cold and f*** yourself down to 15 set, any bangers you see the guy's been at the park for half the day first usually and tried to trick on a slightly smaller rail 500 times in a row, obviously and I know that you know that, I just think that you're on the right track but nobody wants someone giving them rules, play the days you talk about, no water or food drinking red bulls, you're broke so you can't eat skating all day just pushing through the pain, some of the best days of my life bro, just living as a skate rat, I think you just having a midlife crisis what's your skate game lol , and 86 those nutritious meals you ain't Caprice you can't bless no water you need to bless it with electrolytes and if you're not bringing water when you know you're going on a f****** skate Bender I mean you just a dummy, still cracks me up people pay for water, I got some killer oxygen to sell you, lol my hillbilly town has apparently aome of the 3rd.best.tap water in world....or.norh america. Just to finish my tearing you apart sometimes the homies with the razor tail are the missing bolts, ripped shoes, we you be broke these days dog, any committed skateboarder we'll always have at least an old complete skate tool and bearings hardware etc stashed in his whip or fanny pack . But you but yo keep doon what yoir doin yoir not a DOUCH BAG so ill CHOMP on it
