I have found that just significantly reducing my intake of meat, dairy, & eggs is enough to reduce my mild osteoarthritis enough that I no longer take any pain meds for it and hardly notice it. This has been life-changing, thanks in large part to this channel. 💚

I had the same experience. I had a lot of joint pain, achiness and swelling and took glucosamine chondroitan for years. Once I start eating a whole food plant based vegan diet all of that disappeared so I stopped taking it. No problems since

So is there any way to prevent osteoarthritis? Daily exercise is recommended for good health, but it seems the more exercise one does, the faster the joints will wear out. But then I read that when walking, one should stomp down every few steps because the micro damage stimulates microscopic repair of the cartilage. What role does exercise have in preventing joint wear?
@DashingPartyCrasher5 ай бұрын
Interesting that stomping is supposed to induce cellular repair of cartilage. Was that something you read just once, or is it widely mentioned? I don't follow much content about walking -- just resistance training and occasional running.

My story is this. Some 15 years ago, I was sitting incorrectly next to by laptop in my bed and suddenly got some spine or back pain. I couldn't even walk normally. After 3 months the pain and spine issues didn't go away. Coincidentally, I was walking in a groceries supermarket and noticed a plastic jar with some joints and back images painted on it. It was written Glucosamine Sulphate. This didn't tell me anything about what it is but since it was looking like a joint supplement I bought it to try. After a week or two (don't remember exactly), my pain went away and never returned back again. I never took these supplement again since there was no need in doing this but it worked.

Healthy user bias? Not everything suggested in this channel is based on randomized control trials. I wonder what kind of criteria are used on why certain supplements are recommended here, while others are not?!

It didn't seem to me like he was recommending it or not - just showing the research.
@botzer88174 ай бұрын
@@phatmonkey11It's true but when he recommends a diet over another diet he also uses studies that are not interventional, while in this video he's implying that anything not interventional cannot be trusted 🤔 Maybe it's because this video is about supplements, and it's easier to do an interventional study on supplements
