Apparently, in BC, they are pushing legislation to make them manditory while hunting. Apparently the grizzlies are so used to the sounds of gunfire, they head towards it, trying to steal the kill, and people get attacked by the bears.

Once you own and shoot a benelli you will never look back. I’m and old dude, when I started to shooting centerfire 40+ years ago, I changed rifles every year. Lots of good rifles available, but the benelli seem to be the best of the affordable(still not cheap) firearms. Also they tend to keep their value, lots of guns used are 50cents on the dollar used, but not the benelli.

The 6,5 mm has a storied history. The 6,5mm Swedish Mauser may the the first 6,5mm. There are lots of interesting essays available online. This 6,5mm Creedmoor seems to be the most recent addition to the legendary line. I like shooting the 6,5mm, it's a bit more pleasant than the .30-06 . There seems to be a sort of "sweet spot" for rifles that are close to 6,5mm. The Old .270 Winchester is legendary while recently some 6,8mm ctgs have also appeared. My absolute favorite rifle is my 30-378 Weatherby Mark V. My dad and I did a lot of shooting at the Whittington center and that was my go to rifle for the 1000 yard range. I loved my 03 Springfield and mt M1D Garand and yes it was a true M1D. I love my milsurp firearms but nothing was as accurate as my Weatherby Mark V. If I didn't reload I would have never been able to afford to shoot it. The ammunition was almost $20 a round to shoot factory ammunition back then it's around $1.25 a round now so I only shoot 100 rounds all day now a days. Well the price and the amount of recoil I can handle these days isn't like it was when I was in my 20's and 30's. Now I'm 52 and I don't want to hurt for a few days later after a trip to the range.

I bought one of those Caldwell shoulder pads. It helps tremendously with those hard recoiling rifles. Without it I’d be stuck shooting 22 caliber weapons. You might try one.

Yesterday i took my new 6.5 creed out and shot it. A CVA scout pistol with a 14" Bergara fluted barrel and my ELDX/H4350 handloads. On the tenth round of sighting in a temporary el cheapo red dot...i was hitting a coke can at 100 yards. Suprisingly, either the sun or my poor eyesight made the red dot a tiny pinprick at that range, and aiming was much easier than i expected. It has a threaded barrel, but i don't have the extra $$$ to buy a whisper pickle right now. And oh boy does it bark. Had my ears hissing with foam earplugs (all i had) after the first shot. Fair amount of recoil too!

Trust me.. once you get used to this Round you won't be disappointed.. I was ALWAYS a 270 & 7mm fan & I decided to try this Round last year deer hunting & ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! & it is INSANE how accurate it is

Skip the creedmoor and get something else if you want a 6.5mm cartridge. 6.5PRC, 260 Rem, 6.5x55, etc. I wish I had skipped getting the 6.5 creedmoor, and just got the 6.5PRC first.

3:11 Hickok, as a teacher I'm sure you know ignorance can easily be cured! Knowledge is the cure. Ignorance shouldn't be something we should fear; we all suffer from it. It's plain stupidity that we need to fear and look down upon. Stupidity can't be fixed with knowledge in contrast to ignorance. Even John Moses Browning, a gun designer history shall never forget, was 100% ignorant about firearms at one point in his life and started his journey toward the 1911 with one first step as a young man. :)

Hey, will you do a video on marksmanship sometime? Your off-hand shooting style is very effective, and it would be cool if you could do a video to give us some tips. Shooting accurately from off-hand is a challenge, but super fun. It makes your videos unique, too - virtually every other youtuber shoots off of a bench. Shooting accurately off of a bench is too easy, and somehow my bench w/ sandbags is never there in the woods when I need it.

Sweet little gun.. you always mention shooting from a bench.. your style of shooting is what truly matters, a wise man once told me once your rifle is sighted in you should never shoot from a bench again because it is an unrealistic representation of shooting in an actual situation.. in real life your going to be shooting leaning on a tree, prone, sitting down or free standing.
