I think they should have taken a different route from Bengaluru to chamarajanagar! Bengaluru station is already at max capacity, more trains would mean more delay on Mysuru - Bengaluru route as the new route uses the same line till hejjala

Trains to Chitradurga and Vijayapura via Mysore KR Nagar route can be introduced on a trail basis with existing infra and will help travellers to reach N Karnataka without touching Bangalore.

Railway lines going through forest area will only trouble the wild (trees, birds, animals etc). If diesel loco is used, it will cause pollution and if electric loco is used, the Overhead line may also electrocute the wildlife in the area. I hope this is avoided to protect the forests and wildlife. I understand it’s a hindrance for many travelers covering an extra 60 Kms to Chamarajanagar but in view of protecting the nature, this needs to be reconsidered by our Central Govt.

Don’t see any logic when the central govt asks 50% of the installation cost and free land from the state ….while the income from railway goes to Central govt alone …center govt hardly shares 20-30% of the cost and grabs 100% of railway income ..Better option instead would be to extend the metro till Kanakapura……anyways the Bangalore has reached till there….also extend the 4 lane NH from Kanakapura to Chamarajanagara via Mekedatu (Sangam) which would reduce total cost and distance of the project ….also safeguards reserve forests in both the states and from railway …..Also, let the state govt prioritise bus services to and from Kanakapura as this prominent city has no other transport mode ….
