Thank you for this video. I am looking for a 2 in 1 laptop. I am a physician that will go for Residency training and using a 2in1 will be of great importance. I'll use the laptop mode for making reports, tablet mode for reading my books and the pen for highlighting my readings. The lightweight of this is a very must for people like us who brings tons of things.

Hi, I am torn between the Spin 5 Touch but with an i5 1035G4 and the HP Pavilion x360 which comes with an i7 and Iris Plus iGPU but the screen on the HP is like 58% sRGB and much dimmer. Will an i5 be enough for photoshop and Lightroom? Currently I have an Acer Swift 3 14" with an i5 (7th gen) and it does just fine but the 8GB of RAM just does not cut it with panoramas. Yeah, that i5 should work well, especially it being a 10th gen variant. Personally I would go with the Spin 5. It is a great laptop. :)

I hate that they don't ship this model with the Ryzen 4700u. But still overall a great laptop. Saw it in a shop and the 3:2 display instantly seemed waaaay more comfortable than those cramped 16:9 laptops.

Hey Ben! I've got a question that has nothing to do with this video, but I'll hope you'll read anyways. I recently bought a new Dell XPS 15 at your recommendation, but when I enable Hardware Accelerated Encoding & Decoding my exported videos get distorted whenever the footage is altered with an effect, adjustment layer, or text, etc. Specifically, the color of the footage is automatically adjusted and distorted (usually it's more bland and "washed out".) For example, this is what the video should look like: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rl6mm6uZq9F-h7s But, when I export with Hardware Encoding enabled, this is the result: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZCQf3-nrbh3qbc I stopped the distortion by going to Edit > Preferences > Media > Disable hardware accelerated encoding and decoding. However, I'd really like to enable it because it greatly reduces the export time. Any idea how to fix this issue or where else I can look? Haven't found an answer yet. Thanks Ben!

I would definitely get onto the Adobe Premiere Pro forums and see if others have struggled with the same issue. That is where I go when I am having issues and I can usually find an answer in the first 10-20 minutes of searching around. I have yet to personally run into this issue. So I am of no help on this one. I am sorry.

What 2 in 1 would u suggest for drawing and daily app use I had a lenov0 yogabook 720-12ikb model 81b5 and they did update and touch synapse stopped working. I absolutely loved the size and features of it just not the price since after a yr the update made it not able to draw on. I heard that spin 5 uses PWM for screen brightness control. But I also heard that there is a official driver update to change it to DC brightness adjust. Can you confirm that the DC firmware brightness control works on spin 5? Or does your spin 5 comes with DC brightness control already?

Will this run android apps? I'm kinda really diggin painter on my android for quick sketching- can i get that onto this 2-1? (I'm a dummy when it comes to tablets and computers, and what can run on what ) one possible tip if you find the pen too thin- make a removable a thick neoprene sleeve-- might make it more comfortable for long drawing sessions possibly? Or some kind of removable sleeve- that will bulk it up a little)-

Ben, recently I had bought the new legion 5i laptop that comes with a i7 10th gen processor with 16gb of ram and a gtx 1650ti 4gb GDDR6 gpu. Is this spec good for gaming Ben ? Will I get around 60 to 100 fps on high or ultra settings on all games ? Awaiting for ur opinion !

You need at least an rtx 2060 super if you're trying to play games with those settings. Possibly even a 2070 super. The GTX 1650 ti will get you that frame rate at low/medium settings

According to the Acer website, the updated 11th gen intel model will use DC dimming. If it was an issue before, it certainly shouldn't be now.
