I agree - though if you compare against something like a Golf R - the MSRP compared to what you actually would buy one for the price seems to make a lot more sense.

​@@Scotty_in_OhioPeople don't remember that the Golf R is just a dressed up Gulf that has a little more horsepower, leather interior and all wheel drive, but you have to pay 2 to 3 times as much than a standard golf. That's one of the reasons that vw doesn't sell the stock golf in the states, people would have a hard time spending as much on them if they saw basically the same thing on the lot for lot less.

This car is called Enigmatic Black. The color has a magnificent flop between black and dark metallic blue. I have the same car 2023. I ordered it with all leather interior. Leather interior also gives you memory power seats which are very enjoyable. Having those the large person and the small person can drive and the car remembers who is who. I absolutely love the JCW Clubman it's my third.Where you missed out this is the fastest 0 to 60 Mini made. It does 4.7 seconds 0 to 60. Faster than some small Hemis with the older 392.. Also suspension is predicated on the range you pick. Sport is stiff, mid-range smoother so there's a difference there. If you had more time with that car you would have seen it is a lot more than what you were able to show.

I have a 2021 version in that color but with indigo blue leather seats which look great. I debadged it, lowered it on coilovers and it looks very different now...I love this car.

Love Minis, I owned a 2004 Mini Cooper S. What a fun car it was to drive. My only gripe is that they don’t offer a manual on this particular car you just reviewed.

Countryman review next! 😀. I've owned a few fun cars, but the Mini will always be one of the top fun sporty cars on my list. I mean there's a reason why they sell so well, everyone either knows someone that has a Mini or owned one before. Although I do want to criticize them for their tail light designs. From their "creepy eye" to now the Union jack..(not everyone like the British flag lol).I mean they can't come up with better tail light designs?! Aside from that, I'd highly recommend look into and test drive the Minis, they will surprise you for sure!

My gf just leased a 2023 Clubman. The sales manager tried to sell her a Maintenance upgrade package that he said covers a "transmission belt" not covered by the manufacturers warranty. Anyone know, true or false?

I put it this way: "My wife wanted one around 2017 so I bought her a 2015 Mini Countryman S All4 - now in 2023 we have 4 Minis - 2 2023 Clubman (an S and a JCW), one 2 door JCW and a 2013 Countryman S - once you get bitten you're likely to want more and really do love driving them" They do come at a price premium and maintenance isn't inexpensive either but they aren't as bad as people make them out to be. My Clubman JCW really opened up after I put a few hundred miles on it. Minis are also like some other brands of "toys" (like Harley Davidson) - you really won't understand until you own one. I wouldn't say that it's the only brand I'll own but I like having one in the garage and they're not without their faults or downsides - I've owned more expensive cars but rarely do I get asked about my car as much as when I drive one of my Minis!

It's all relative - for those who don't bat an eye around spending much more for a Mercedes or Lexus the 50k might not be that bad - compared to a Golf R or even a Type R it's more "daily-able" and the "buy price" is less. The Clubman S All4 is about $7k less equipped about the same way still lots of fun and very comfortable - around 100HP less in power - there's options if you like a Mini but don't want to spend 50g's on one...
