I have the 3.0 Duramax on a 2024 trail boss and absolutely love it ! Had a Cummins on a 2004 dodge 2500. Regret selling it back bout 8 years ago.

Just bought 6th Ram 2025 sst hurricane twin turbo. Ram sold me on hemi but love this truck. Big horn. The drive and turbo way make up for the lack of sound. Freaking love it!!!

The power/torque is all that matters. The big funky screen and those weird type of Visual Extra Tech is not me but I understand how this system works so there you go. Overall this is a fun type truck.

I was able to test drive the Rebel X. At least it didn’t stall like the first one I tried and yes smooth w/ Bilstien shocks, than the night edition HD shocks. Yes to the shifter. 77K price tag, Yes, no Hemi sound, I would hear the stop/start at times, very subtle. The jury is still out, with other brands having engine issues, I’ll wait and keep looking and when I see it, I’ll let U know. Ram loyalist.

I have a hemi and love it. I test drove a new rebel and the lighter weight up front was nice for daily driving. The hemi does feel like a tank in comparison.

They can do a lot these days to quell NVH. Couple that with a straight six and it will be, you guessed it, smooth. We'll see if guys pick this over a Ford or Chevy V8. Nobody loves tech more than me, but I fully understand its not as reliable. That 5.3 Chevy is dead nuts reliable. The only plus here is the ZF 8 speed.

Development of this inline hurricane was part of a much larger powertrain shift. The new jeeps wranglers/Gladiator will have an inline 4 turbo. (Mountains of torque” Grand Cherokee inline 6 turbo. the Ram 1500 will have inline 6 turbo while the heavy duty an inline 6 diesel. By doing this the can easily streamline production, training and part development. Having a fully inline turbo powertrain across the board along with exclusive ZF transmissions isn’t as bad of a plan as so many think.

I’m very surprised this has the passenger screen and some premium goodies but is missing lumbar control on the driver’s seat? Also leather all over the dash and doors but is plastic on the lower dash panels (4x4 switch area) where you normally see it on the other rebels. Maybe it’s a diff package. Also ram, no power steering wheel adjustment even on the Tungsten!? Come on bro. Even Toyota has that their limited trims.

Had a 2016 rebel red with black dual tone with air suspension. A v8 just fits the “rebel” nameplate. Plus it lasted me over 150k miles and i sold it back to the dealership for what i paid for it at 40k miles of 29k$ I will say. I own a 2022 laramie in hydro blue (v8 and etorque). It doesn’t give me that badass feeling. It’s pretty yeah, but man looking at my rebel i was always taking pictures of it cause how awesome it was lol even though it had 4x4 air suspension and all that jazz, some of the new luxuries in the laramie 5th gens are nice
