Thanks for this review! My only complaint with all of these side by side truck comparisons is that no one I know goes flying through the sand or takes these trucks rock crawling. How about a test for how most people would use these trucks "off-road," on a washboard forest road? That's a real test of the suspension and interior comfort!

Cool to see the comparison, but I’d much rather get a work truck variant and just add a couple of suspension pieces to suit my need. Might be a cool video topic to pit that type of approach versus the off the shelf OEM.

I have had my Tremor for two years now and driven both Ram and Chevy. Really no comparison The Tremor kills it when we all go 4x4 rock, mud, and snow running. Chevy just needs to update, and I am sure it would be much better, and the Ram with the new engine needs to match the suspension to the power, etc. All really nice trucks!

Pick the truck that leaves enough $ for a dirt bike. Lucerne Valley is best enjoyed in a pure off road vehicle that you either tow or carry in the bed. The risk of breaking your daily driver is too great. I broke a leaf spring in my dad’s ‘72 K5 out there. Made it home but that was a fun conversation. Edit: got to the wash section. Dang what a great way to break a truck. Bottom line, don’t drive like a 16 year old borrowing dad’s truck.

With a Chevy Silverado that has a g80 locking rear end it will not lock if you are in auto mode for four-wheel drive. I've tested mine and the only time it locks is if I'm in two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The g80 rear end on a Chevy is one of the best rear ends ever made.

Doesn’t matter the mode. It’s mechanical. It takes a certain amount of slip. Sometimes more than people think. Just stay on the accelerator till it engages

Air suspension being all the way up is why the ram struggles

You are using the wrong Chevy. You needed a ZR2, not a trail boss. ZR2 has both manual locking front and rear, with multi max suspension, more lift and bigger tires for the same price as the others. Why compare them this way? With a ZR2 Diesel MSRP of $81k it does compete quite well, even with a better price.

Trailboss. The best looking & most badass truck out there. Ram & Ford suck.
