2022 Chevy Colorado Bison: The Diesel Truck You Never Knew You Needed!

I have a 2022 zr2 with the diesel owned it about 2-3 months now I love it. I get 25-30mpg. I’m looking forward to outfitting it for camping etc.

how much longer can one idle on a gallon of fuel with a diesel vs gasoline assuming roughly the same displacement/hp/etc.

I have the zr2 tuned duramax and transmission with the Titan 35 gallon long range tank and its a beast. I've had this loaded down and towed 9000lbs with it lol. It tows like a dream

I appreciate that you wait for the gauges to sweep and tone to finish. I do that in my Silverado and any vehicle I drive actually. I think it makes a difference in vehicle readiness but I really don't know. Just a habit I guess. I'm thinking about this truck instead of a Jeep. For the backcountry camping and roads I would drive I'm betting it would do just fine. perhaps some added protection would be worth the cost. Thanks for the video!

I just got thezr2 bison edition with the 2.8 diesel after the breaking process I put my foot to the floor from a dead stop just to see how it is and I must say even though it’s a small displacement motor it’s got some power to it for it size great overall truck. The only downside that I don’t like about the bison package is the rock sliders by the doors makes it just a little bit more aggravating to get in and out of if you have mud on them you’ll drag that mud into your truck and possibly wearing out the left side of the driver seat a lot faster.

I just picked up my PRO 4X, I know this truck will be awesome until Chevy works the bugs out of the new platform. I leased the truck for 18 months knowing this Bison and Raptor will be out by then. The Frontier gives you the best bang for buck and seating.

I just got mine tuned and switched to Amsoil trans fluid. It gets about 3 mpgs better than stock on the highway

Chevy needs to update the Colorado vehicles with blindspot, backup assist, AVH, lane control, Needs to have a button to release tailgate! Lots of stuff they haven’t touched in years!!
