"Narcotics Anonymous (NA) describes itself as a "fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem" following the Twelve Steps and the Twelve Traditions developed by Alcoholics Anonymous, and it is the second-largest 12-step organization.
As of May 2010 there were more than 58,000 NA meetings in 131 countries.
Because no attendance records are kept, it is impossible to estimate what percentages of those who come to Narcotics Anonymous remain active in NA over time. The only sure indicator of the program's success in attracting members is the rapid growth in the number of registered Narcotics Anonymous meetings in recent decades and the rapid spread of Narcotics Anonymous outside North America.
In 1978, there were fewer than 200 registered groups in three countries.
In 1983, more than a dozen countries had 2,966 meetings.
In 1993, 60 countries had over 13,000 groups holding over 19,000 meetings.
In 2002, 108 countries had 20,000 groups holding over 30,000 meetings.
In 2005, 116 countries had over 21,500 groups holding over 33,500 weekly meetings.
In 2007, there were over 25,065 groups holding over 43,900 weekly meetings in 127 countries.

Im not a religious person I am highly spiritual and I'm speaking to you with 10 yrs clean to let you know this thing works! I came into sobriety beat up fucked up and dead on the inside...what your going through now won't last. Anything that's worth having is gonna be hard to get and you'll come to see you'll appreciate it more...once you get through this you never hav to feel this way again. I had 3 failed marriages and ptsd and the Veterans Adm. all they want to do is give more drugs that do not work.God is the higher power to survive this life. Hope you're still going Im on day 46 and came through the worst detox I've ever had. I relapsed back in 2021 the day before my 2 year mark, and went back out for 2 more years. I'm almost 40 and I've literally lost everything, my kids won't speak to me and all I have right now is my mom and girlfriend. Went to detox and rehab now back out in the real world and I'm scared to death right now... I think this is under my girlfriends email so sorry if it tricks you haha. But would love to hear if you're doing good still!!

James K Green well man, I was told when looking for a sponsor to pick someone of whom I'm attracted to their recovery. Your real sponsor is the guy that you love listening to, the guy that gives you the most hope. So in that respect your sponsor has already been selected. Just got to get over ourselves and ask.
