Today we're checking a super easy, cheap way to turn any smartphone (Android or iPhone) into an affordable #FPV monitor and/or VR goggles! I'm reviewing four different FPV OTG UVC units, each at different price-points (from $18-38), and different features on each. There's a lot of benefits of using your phone as an FPV monitor; it's a lot more convenient and portable (your phone is already on you, in your pocket, large battery life), there's plenty of apps to easily video record (DVR) your footage, plus it's a LOT more affordable than other FPV goggles and monitors out there. I've been racing FPV on all kinds of RC toys over the years, from #drones, planes, cars, and even a boat! It's a ton and fun, and you gotta try it out!

Hello. Can you help? The camera would not work with my drone plug in as it was a diffrent connector so I wired the camera stright in to the battery of the drone via live and ground the battery is quite powerful. When I turn the drone on I get a full clear video feed on my phone for 1-2 seconds and it all works perfect.... then it cuts out. The camera is also rather warm. I dont know what I'm doing wrong and would be grateful if anyone could help me out. Thank you. The drone I have is drocon bugs 3

My phone does not support WIFI 5GHZ I was thinking of buying a simple smartphone (Xiaomi Redmi) that supports DUAL BAND 802.11 A/B to receive video from the drone (L900 PRO), , now I am thinking of changing my mind, and purchasing the receiver you showed in the video, I would love to hear your opinion, Will it transmit the same distance that the phone can receive?

They are still UVC protocol... so be very careful... some phones do not support it even though they may be OTG... they are not UVC. However you can use these on a laptop or destktop running NCH video software, but the units do get rather hot when in use.

Run it on any Android TV or IOS/Droid Tablet Any OS with an IOS or Android Emulator also. I do not remember the name of the best App though for setup. If you're having issues try another Config App.
