I also remembered at some point that Benson mentioned cases she worked on as early as 93. And later on in season 1, Stabler had said he was on the force for 14 years

@@DoubleOhTheG Before joining SVU, Benson must have worked in Homicide until 1998, and she was probably promoted to Detective before or after joining SVU.

@@thebestofdeadoralivedoa2005 Benson wasn’t a Detective until 1998 when she was promoted to Detective and transferred to SVU. Stabler had been a cop since either 86 or 89 (the writers always fluctuate between the two years) and wasn’t in SVU until 1992. He’s the most experienced officer in SVU because of his longevity in SVU.

It's hard to believe Serena had mellowed out before she had died. Seeing her here and knowing what she did to Olivia, I'm conflicted that Noah doesn't know the full story of his adoptive grandmother or if he should know.

Few American people know about and remember how horrific Bosnia war has been... Please, if you ever have the opportunity, watch "Savior", with Dennis Quaid, produced by Oliver Stone, directed by Peter Antonijević in 1998. It will give you a slight idea of what happened between 1992 and 1995 in Croatia and Bosnia, with more than 100,000 casualties. I was there as an UN peacekeeper with the French Army and what i witnessed still haunts me after 30 years. And it's happening again nowadays in Ukraine...

Many years ago, I was working with a young woman who revealed to me that she was repeatedly raped during that war. She was in Canada then, and she told me that she dated, but only black men. I was wondering why and asked her...she said because never was she raped by a black man. I've lost touch with her, but i'm still to this day troubled by all the stories she revealed to me...

Kudos to the showmakers for using a Czech sounding surname Panachek. Sure, it's americanized in its spelling but I can see it being a Czech surname. And Steven is an American version of a Czech name. So I can see a guy named Štepán Panáček changing his name to Steven Panachek. It's just a small thing but often when American show or filmakers make some guy a Czech, the name is often Russian sounding.

I was two months old when the show was released and since then I always love this show because we both shared the same year 1999 that makes it even stronger relationship ❤ But can you believe that I started watching SVU at the age of the appropriate time 17t years old and I am 24 years old about to be 25 this December 12 I can’t believe it. I am a miracle.❤ I love all SVU characters, but if I had to choose, I would choose Olivia is my favorite

Please no. Stabler is great on Organized Crime, OC is also actually interesting with it's serialized stories. SVU has been doing the same song and dance for 20 years.

No Stabler is a great cop, but never had the empathy required for SVU - surprised that he lasted as long as he did
