I got out of a very abusive relationship. One where I was locked in a garage. Screamed at. Pinned down. Controlled. Lied to. Cheated on. He'd scream at me when I would ask for a hug or comfort becuase of my anxiety during storms. He wasnt there for me in the hospital when my stomach was bleeding. He said I was crying for attention when I was in the hospital for 5 days. Later on he left me while I was pregnant for another girl. I was all alone and then I met my now husband. He held my hand through the rest of my pregnancy and had helped me battle my complex PTSD. He loves me and my daughter more than anything. This song shows my story. How I have to face my own battles but I dont have to do it alone now. 💜🥺

I don’t know Ben Platt as a person, but based on his music, I would love to get to know him simply because I can tell that his capacity to love is far beyond that of anyone I’ve ever known. I can feel his songs in my heart and no other artist can make me feel such strong emotions. Some artists have a song or two that can really hit home, but it seems as though every last one of Ben Platt’s songs makes my heart feel like it’s flying.
