Very good video. Ended up getting a 81bb. But yeah would like atleast 1 or 2 more mags. Thank you for this video was stuck between the 81 base and 81bb. This helped me decide on it

I wish I would have saw these for sale, but I just bought the beretta 85 BB 380 from classic, should be at my FFL tomorrow, classic doesn’t have any mags for mine! I also have a 92 FS mine has Wilson combat G10 grips! Great Video I enjoyed watching brother!

You bought good stuff!

Does Classic provide the Hand Gun Serial Number on the purchasers receipt in general do they give SS# of the purchased handgun?
@BOB-wx3fq3 жыл бұрын
Pretty certain the 380 mags should work fine if you can't find any 32s Also just because it says beretta doesn't mean they were made by beretta

Very nicely done,I have A Question,do you feel the trigger pull is smoother in Dbl action on the older model 81 without the drop safety on the firing pin, compared to the newer 81BB? This is a Question I have not seen addressed on KZbin as of yet.It is kind of important to some people, like the different In pull In Colt model 70 & 80 Triggers, By Experience The earlier 81 should be much smoother . What are your Thoughts? Thanks for your time & response as I am looking At them both with Interest, Mark

On my examples, yes the the 81 is smoother. It is a very small difference, and could probably only be felt pulling one right after the other. I should have went into this topic more, and will get a video up on that subject.

@@snowlothar45 Thank you for your response to my question, I noticed Also,The slide rails on the 81BB appears to be about 1/8'' thicker per side than the 81.The 81 BB Probably weights a ounce or more in weight with less recoil & but has a thicker profile,& Is a stronger pistol. Thanks again for answering my Question and your time,look forward to your next video, Mark

I just got one on order at Gander Outdoors. $262.75 was my total cost, including shipping and sales tax. The only thing I didn't like was I had to pick one of the FFLs they had on their list. I couldn't give them shipping information for the FFL I normally use.

Just got my 81 in. Almost perfect. Two extra mags were new. All seems fine, except safety is stuck tight. Any suggestions?

I like the 81's, except that they don't have a de-cocker. Getting the 81BB model was the right thing to do.

Hi , I ordered a set of grips from Altamont and they are amazingly good looking, check it out
@snowlothar455 жыл бұрын
I use Altamont grips on at least half of my collection(I hate the cheap rubber grip fad of manufactures today), but they were out of walnut and this gun needs dark grips (IMHO).

You are a lucky man! Both your 81 & 81BB look to be in great condition. I ordered a "hand Select - Best of 10" 81BB last week from Classic with an extra mag, and all I can say is I feel very sorry for the next 9 guys! The barrel and slide had a lot of surface rust, and the slide had almost no bluing left on the right side. Both magazines show a lot of rust and are deeply pitted. Mechanically the gun is in very good condition, but I had to strip, sand, polish and re-blue the slide & barrel. Now it looks like new. Can you tell me if 84 grips will fit my 81BB?
@davidnicholas76245 жыл бұрын
Never order hand select from Classic. Too many stories like yours. They seem to have a picker with a bad attitude "selecting" the worst guns they can find. I bought mine from J&G Sales and got a couple of beauties. They don't do "best of ten", they pre-sort their guns so if you pay extra for a nicer gun, you get a nicer gun. I got Beretta 84F grips from Brownell's for one of my 81s and they fit perfectly

Thanks for the info. I'd never do a best of 10 again!

I have had problems in the past with Classic. I contacted them and provided photos. They gave me the options of refund, replace, or refund the hand pick fee. It can be a risk with them.

@@snowlothar45 Good info, but I'm very happy with the gun since I refinished the slide & barrel. I completely disassembled it and found almost no wear; it was probably carried a lot but rarely fired. I might buy from classic again but wouldn't do the hand select.

I just got in my 1st ever internet-surplus order handgun today 01-02-20. Purchased from Classic Firearms on 12-26-19 (hand select) with extra mag. My Beretta M81-BB looks NEW. Has a few "white" shallow nick spots, no rust and zero holster wear anywhere.....The mag inserted in gun looks spotless. The extra mag had 3 small shiny wear marks on the left side towards the top - where the ribs meet the narrowed section. I noticed yesterday that they ran out of stock on the Model 81-BB *and it worried me that I had purchased my "hand picked - best of 10" from the very bottom of the barrel about a week earlier. I was never so anxious to get a shipment in then this one. Perfect "luck" or what have you. ***They got in some 84's and 92"s today!!!
