Out of all that I have shot namely glock 19 , taurus g3 .I find the ego's to be more convenient for me which makes me to be a good shooter with my 92fs . BIG UP To PB

I don't get why hickock prefers Glocks. Most collectors are attracted to the artistry, and elegance of a particular firearm. Half plastic, half plain Jane matte finish, I just don't see how you can look at a glock and find it desirable. Berettas have so much more style.
10 жыл бұрын
hickok45 Hickok, it is a great gun. The only malfunction I had was when a round swelled and got stuck in the chamber. Therefore, before loading the magazine, I slide every round into the chamber to make sure it is sweet. Then I don't think I have to ever worry about a malfunction. A little practice HIckok, and I'm sure you will find the Beretta is a much better shooting iron than any Glock I held in my hand. Of course, I could be wrong...it's been a long time since I held any Glock. The only thing that worried me was...jesus that gun is heavy fully loaded...but that's my wimpy problem and not the gun.

hickok is a shooter first collector second with his reviews. that is why he is respected and sponsored. he has the respect and love for gun art as do most of us. But at the end of the day hickok tells us what will work when it matters. ps i am not a glock person.grip angle.

hickok45 I have a Beretta 92fs and a Glock 17. For carry gun no doubt Glock is much more comfortable and that makes it more effective gun for self-defense. Anyway, Beretta is a much better made gun. I think Beretta is made for War and combat in extreme situations.

I have the Italian made Beretta 92FS in stainless and a Glock 17. hickok nailed my impression of the Beretta exactly. The beretta fits my hand like a glove, but I shoot my Glock a little bit better. If a friend were to ask me to show them my favorite gun, I'd probably pull out the Beretta. If a robber asked me to show him my favorite gun, he'd get to see the Glock. :-)

I've owned a beretta 92fs now for over 25 years. I have owned other semis but, I wouldn't trust my wifes life,( not worried about mine) with any other gun. I have not had one missfire or failure to feed out of my beretta. Of course I removed all of the polymer parts out of my recent one. Hard to believe that Italian made beretta puts plastic( before you say anything, I know its not really plastic) in this gun. If I want a polymer gun, I would buy a glock. As far as it being a big gun for a 9mm, less recoil.

I have a gerson clone of what I believe is a Beretta 92x and I bought a Beretta 92fs today. There's a handful of firearms that I've wanted throughout my life. Beginning with the 1911. The m1 garand. A solid decent AR-15. Ended up with a Sig... A couple of very specific Mossberg 500 tactical 12 gauge shotguns.. a Barrett 50 with the 10 round detachable box magazine and a Beretta 92fs. I have all of them except the bear at 50. Yeah I don't really want to drop $15,000 on one gun. Anyway.. you can't go wrong with a beretta. And the 92fs truly is a classic it's been tried tested and proven to be incredibly accurate perhaps the most reliable all metal 9 mm pistol ever made.. damn nearly indestructible.. and fun to shoot. I didn't get out to shoot it today but tomorrow morning after coffee.. I'll be heading up into the woods. Here in central New Hampshire we don't really have indoor ranges. It's sand pits and Fields and certain areas out in the woods. All the mountains around here. I do look forward to shooting it though. 🇺🇸🇺🇸

I've owned 2 cheapy 1911s, 3 smith wheel guns, a glock in .40, a kahr 9mm, and a Springfield xdm in .40... shot my friends m9 and honestly it feels better to me than all the rest. I have wide hands and long skinny fingers. But that short reset trigger that sits way back in the trigger guard feels just right to me. Makes for faster shooting. I picked it up, took aim and emptied the mag at the target as fast as I could shoot without the going too crazy. It felt so we'll balanced with the heavy handle, even as the mag ran empty. The light weight, open slide and short action with the 115 grain 9mms kept that recoil way down as compared to the 1911s and polymers I've fired before this. It kept a nice tight group. I want one now. I'd choose the 92 over the m9 as it has a more refined finish and feel to it. Just my analysis on it. Thanks for the great vids hickok!

@renjixsan , I don't time such things. The gun does not recoil that much; it's a 9mm and it's a heavy gun. If you've seen my Night Shoot video, you can see that I'm able to control the light and dark. It's the same with gravity; I control gravity when I shoot, so the thing will shoot quite a long distance before gravity affects the bullet. :-) I've not played with it at really long range, but it should be fine out to 100 - 150 yards. I'll try it at 230 yards at some point.
