Took my New Nano to the range,( this is after I had put 2,500 flawless rounds of all kinds of Ammo) and I brought along the LC9S. Shot 100 rounds from one gun and then the other and then again. Later shoot some Hot ammo from both gun. Without a doubt the Nano prevailed in all areas. Just a terrific gun. No where near the snap of the Ruger. I normally do not have a problem with the Recoil of the Ruger, but for the first time, with this many rounds, it was really gettting to be a discomfort. The Nano on the other hand, well, I could have shot it all day long. So smooth for a Micro 9mm. The Nano is one of the most underrated guns out there and build like a tank. Seriously, designed for the 40.cal, and the higher pressers of that cartridge the Nano is built tough in all areas. Truly a fantastic CCW. And one of the smallest in AOL and Height. Shoots a lot smoother than the Kahr also. Great review!

I had the same experience when I compared the Ruger LC9s to the Glock 43. The Glock had about half the recoil the Ruger did. I have the Nano and it's my favorite.

My Beretta Nano is the most accurate concealable handgun I own.. pinpoint accuracy for me out to 10yards. Other pistol I own still have pretty tight groups at that distance, but with the Nano I literally stack the rounds on top of each other. We put a gel block behind a paper target and 5 of the 7 rounds were touching each other in the block. The other 2 rounds couldn't squeeze a pencil between them and the other bunch of rounds without pushing the rounds away from each other. I'm not bothered much by the long trigger pull, definitely hate the full reset of the trigger. But with accuracy like that I'm not letting this go unless I can achieve those same results with another (concealable) pistol with a shorter reset. Believe me I've tried. Because Beretta Nano parts and accessories are few and far between with some high prices on spare mags.

I've owned the Nano for a few years now. Frankly, I like it better that my Shield. It's purpose built to be smoother, smaller, less complicated than a hammerless snub-nose. Almost never mentioned is that, since it was originally designed for the .40SW, it's noticeably more robustly built than any other similar-sized 9mm. One only needs to look at it side-by-side to a S&W or Glock to see the difference.
@fragmentedmind5497 жыл бұрын
Agree it is alot like a modern snub noise replacement. I owned a shield in .40. I was exited about it because I like the .40.... what a let down. The rounds that thing would feed was FMJ, and it had a horrible trigger with no reset. It went back twice... never loaded a hp on its own. But love my Nanos... things are built like tanks.
@CheifDegenerate5 жыл бұрын
I just wish they would release a complete slide assembly including barrel in 40sw. I did very minimal "work" to mine to make it more reliable and easier to shoot. There was an issue with the nano breaking the plastic striker guide. I never had the issue in 800 rounds however one of my friends bought the gun because I raved about it and her purchased one. He ended up contacting Beretta 3 times for a replacement (they sent it out free of charge) he almost gave up on the gun until he discovered that Galloway Precision made a stainless steel striker guide and a spring kit. I purchased the kit as well at $31 though I put the factory trigger spring back in mine after a trip to the range. I also polished the trigger bar and the chassis where they touch which took about 1.5 pounds off the trigger pull. And I bought the 18 pound recoil spring/rod to shoot higher pressure ammo without having added recoil (even though the Nano soaks it up quite well with the factory spring) I also put 3 very tiny grooves in the striker body with my Dremel to help eliminate "hydro-lock" (or whatever it's called when you pull it out of water and it just goes click). The night sights I found on eBay for about $40 less than what Beretta wants for them. I actually have pinpoint accuracy with my nano or to 20 yards which is something I don't have with any other pistol than my 4inch 357 mag revolver in single action or my 327 federal magnum when shooting 32sw long. Unless I find another semiautomatic that concealable with that kind of accuracy, my nano will be a daily companion for me for a very long time!

The Nano did not have the Talon in your first video. I own one hand have no trouble with it. However, many people have had extraction issues. It should be said that it was made to be a 40S&W, then chambered in 9mm. This is why the recoil springs and extractor on the first ones had to be worked on. My Nano stopped hitting me in the head after about three hundred rounds were fired. Great video.

Thanks Jerry. I typically carry 124 grain HST for my Walther PPQ which is my carry weapon. I still haven't fired the Nano yet but I'm confident it will perform with the 124gr. Looking forward to give it a try. After I use some of the heavier rounds, I'll step it down to the 115 for plinking.

What have you got to lose? I like these videos you do, nothing like reallity, it's refreshing, compared to some of these other channels.

Great video! I personally like the Nano. I own two for work to keep my back ups universal (one for home office one for the travel box). Other than that both have the Beretta night sights there and talons they are stock. I like the Nanos because of the size, trigger, and how they handle vs other 9mm in similar size. I've never cared for the standard striker trigger in a deeper concealment pistol. The lack of slide catch is odd at times on the range but it not something you'd be using in a defense situation, and the Nano isn't the only pistol missing it. It does suck though when a range master wants you to clear your weapon and lock the slide back and he see you putting a magazine back in. I had issues with 115gr FMJ in both Nanos at first also. But after a couple hundred 124gr rounds the pistols broke in and they both seem to handle 115gr range ammo okay. But for the most part the Nanos seem to like 124gr and Plus P the most. On the range I use 124gr FMJ and typically empty my older magazines of Remington 124gr +P Golden Saber Black Belt. Otherwise I haven't found any common ammo in 124 the Nano would feed, but below 115gr it has issues. Thanks for the positive video on the Nano.

My first Nano I owned hated that Sig V-Crown ammo. But only in the 8rd magazine. I sent the gun into Beretta and they were unable to replicate the issue with their HP Ammo. Got the gun and magazine back and still had the problem. Flush magazines fed the Sig ammo flawlessly. Bought another Nano (wife wanted one) Second Nano had no problems with the Sig ammo in either magazine. I gave up on the Sig ammo and use HST or Winchester Defend. They feed flawlessly through both guns. Just ordered a 3rd Nano on sale for $200 (after Beretta rebate). This makes a perfect Back Up Gun or "BUG" and a decent Hand Off Gun or "HOG" in a bad situation.

Pretty weird they have a slide stop lever on the Beretta Pico, but not the Nano. I know the Pico has a spring and slide stop lever that can be a pain when swapping grip frames, because they're loose and can fall out and be lost... but with a gun the size of the Nano, they could have easily made it captured (like the P320 and many other guns).

Justin I would love to see you do a head to head with the Kahr CM9 of this pistol as IMO they are very similarly constructed and in the same price point. I do not care for too many of the "Micro-9" pistols out there as they just feel very cheap and are not very comfortable to shoot. I have shot numerous Kahr pistols and have to say they are extremely reliable and handle very well be it a CM from the economy sector or a K series elite model at 4x the price. The Nano is probably the only pistol in the same braket as the Kahr in regard to design of operation and size as well. I would be curious to see how the Beretta Pico stacks up against other micro .380 pistols as well.

Have had the Nano for several years now. At first I was having the FTE problems with 115 grain. I took my dremel and some polishing compound and polished ( not grind ) the chamber and feed ramp. Got a nice mirror finish, and have not had that problem since. Trigger is very smooth but it seems to take forever before it breaks and fires, similar to a Kahr. Wish that the trigger would hit a "wall" and then do a clean brake, like the HK VP9. Just my 2 cents

@fragmentedmind5497 жыл бұрын
ParklandTactical it a defense pistol not a range pistol. It wasn't built for the shooters overall longterm comfort. It was built to conceal, fire a round as lethal as possible of its given caliber, and hit it target with lethal accuracy at reasonable ranges, while packing as many rounds into the pistol as possible, and finally this thing has to fit in to someone's pocket..... this won't be the the handgun you want to shoot all day. Either due to recoil or the cost of ammo.

You may want to research a little bit online and try to figure out when your Nano was made. I heard that they eventually started updating the gun with a new extractor or something to that effect. Don't quote me, but I think I remember reading on a it was around the 050XXX serial numbers that the change went in. My Nano is 082XXX and I have never had a hiccup with firing any 115 gr. Maybe if your's is an earlier issue, you can send it to Beretta for a fix. I might even email Beretta and see what they say, as I have stumbled across a few post talking about the FTE issue. Hopefully this helps!

The trigger on the Nano is first class. It is a striker fired pistol that has a DAO trigger that is smooth and deliberate all the way through. When I hear someone say a DAO trigger sucks, it tells me they have not been shooting very long. Sorry, the Nano trigger is one of the best double action only triggers I have shot and I have been shooting for decades. Learn how to use a DAO and will not want a light striker fired trigger again. And much safer to boot. Especially for a small carry gun.
