My impressions right now are that you would not be making a mistake with either one. I'm trying to decide which I like better, too. The Kahr is just a little bit smaller and lighter, I believe, but both fit very well in the same role and have triggers that I like.

Love the Nano. I have three, one now with 14,000 rds and runs like a sewing machine. Super mild shooting, extremely well built, easy to work on, love the modular design. Bravo to Beretta on this fine gun. I love the small guns, own many, but this is one I will not get rid of.

Question Mr Burns… I’m about to take the CCW class, and I’m thinking about getting one of these for my first firearm. Do you think this is a good choice for EDC for the first time buyer? Is it a good home defense option?

@@andrewjansen9702 seems like a good gun from what I heard, the APX A1 Carry seems to be the new version of the Nano. But the downside to both is the capacity count. I still like my A1 Carry though. Smooth little gun, i took my CCW class with it.

HA HA HA!! You had me going with the .223 round! Once you said it was actually a .50 cal, it made more sense. I was going nuts about how small that thing had to be to look like that next to a .223. How funny! HA HA!

@Mr1911Freak, The Nano is just a hair thicker, literally, about that much. I was able to stick it in my PM9 Kydex holster, but it bulged it out just a bit. I'll have to shoot it a good bit more, but it's definitely a competitor at this point for me if it's as reliable. So many of the guns in this size have that crazy long-pull double action trigger that I hate. These two are small and have striker-fired triggers. Nice.

@fthcougar, Well, I've heard that, too. Funny but it was just a random thing that we decided to use 124 grain ammo for the video. I had some of it around and knew I would not need hundreds of rounds for this video, so I thought it was a good time to use it. We'll experiment with 115 grain ammo. I'd guess it's not "Carry" ammo in 115 grains that folks have had trouble with. My guess is, its the light target stuff. We'll try some.

Just got back from range with my new nano, put 50 rounds of pmc 115 grain, 100 rounds of american eagle 124, and 50 rounds of remigton jhp 124. Flawless. I do have a newer model, serial number in 87,000 mark. Very pleased just not as good as shot with it compared to my bersa 380 or markov 9. This is a very well built nice gun, it has amazing mags, great quality steel. It is pretty snappy and takes experience to shoot it. Also it will have issues with low quality ammo I assume because it can shoot +p and has to "break in" the stiff spring. It easily fits in my pocket even with shorts on. Only the ruger lc9 can do that and it is not the same quality of this gun. I would not want another gun on me for when I go to our rental houses. Honestly the no snag design could save your life. You can pull it out of your pocket so easily. Love this gun

@Buttnut105, Two different categories, for me. I think this gun fits the PM9 category of guns, a size that Glock refuses to make. It's mainly a pocket gun, I'd say. For some people it might make a great belt gun, as well, but once I get to a belt holster, I'm probably wanting my Glock, which is a bit heavy and thick to be as good a pocket gun as the Nano or PM9. There's cross-over, of course, depending on your needs, experience, and the size of your pockets. :-)

@BennyBenjamins, If the LC9 had the striker-fired trigger the Nano has, I'd agree with you. That very long pull and "way rearward" trigger break makes the LC9 harder for me to shoot well. Other than that, I really like the LC9, and I'm hard to please with small guns.

I just shot my new Nano last week. With 115s it shot about 4 inches low and a little too the left. 124s should raise the point of impact and tweaking the rear sight a tiny bit too the right should dial it in. I am still into the break-in period. I put 50 rounds of fmj through it and when the gun was dirty i started getting a failure to eject every now and then. I cleaned the gun, nothing could be simpler. It shot 115s ok so long as the pistol was clean. I hope to burn up the 200 rounds of 115 fmj i have for break-in then try some 124 jhp ammo in it. Its very comfortable to carry. I am experimenting with different inside the waistband holsters . I like Galco leather. So far its the best blend of size, weight, sights and power that i have tried. So far so good. Hi I'm looking for a good concealed carry pistol/pocket pistol because I mainly carry full-size but I'm torn between the Ruger LC9s Pro and the Beretta Nano. I have to make my choice in a few days and I tend to watch your channel a good bit. Both guns have different things going for them and I'm getting good deals on both. What would you recommend? I'm not new to firearms whatsoever it's just with so many pocket pistols out there and me not being too in tune with the sub compact market I'm not quite sure what one to go with. Love the trigger on the Ruger but I have a thing for Beretta's and I like the stream line idea. Hope to hear from @Hickok45 or others with experience with both firearms. Thanks in advance.
@cee95858 жыл бұрын
I have the LC9s as my pocket carry but I tried the nano too. I went Ruger because I prefer it's trigger. As well having a slide lock. However breaking down the Ruger is hardly fun. Haha. But the beretta isn't great either. Which one did you end up going with?
@OneWheelLess8 жыл бұрын
Did you find a gun yet? I was very unimpressed with the lc9, I assume the lc9s is better, but I disliked the overall feel and the recoil and function of the lc9 reminded me of the keltec. In this video hickock45 mentions the kahr pm9, I've shot all the compact keltec guns including the cw series (have several). They're great options and very light. I have a Baretta nano, great gun! Really like it and the interchangeable frames. I also have a shield 9mm, amazing shooter, really great all around gun. I find the Baretta is more comfortable to appendix carry than the shield. Depending on your carry method the shield may be your best option, if it's too big I'd look at the nano or one of the kahrs.

I went with the lc9s. I just like the trigger so much on it! It's actually one of my most accurate guns. I shoot 147grn bullets through it and recoil is light.

skip the Nano... I'm selling g mine because it's far too picky when it comes to ammo. a small Kahr, g43, or a Shield are you best bets for a small 9mm

Thanks for the review, got the Talon grips for my Nano and love them thanks for the tip. Hickok45 is the big-boss for reviews, and killing steel plates. God bless!
