I've had my Vigil Commander since last March, bought it based on your review of it. As of yet, I've had no rust issues whatsoever on the hammer, and I carry it daily here in Michigan. Also, I installed thin grips from Mil-Tac using the factory bushings. Measuring them I found they are thin bushings right from the factory. Also a big fan of S.A. 1911s, I have a TRP in stainless and a Vickers Master Class, excellent pistols!

Those 1911s are always beautiful. I sure would not mind having one of those Ronin as well. Or even a parkerized 2nd SA Mil-Spec to complement my stainless version. Those Springfileds are just good value workhorses and reliable with all ammo as well. I just posted my Dan Wesson 1911 Guardian initial video pending going to the range. Will have to watch the Dan Wesson Guardian hammer for any rust issues. Really good details and thorough comparison of all aspects of the pistols. Thanks Beretta, Sr. and Young Beretta! Great video as always gentlemen, I am glad that you shared about the Dan Wesson hammer rust issue and getting rid of five of your Dan Wesson 1911’s. In the market for another 45 acp 4.25” or 1911, probably a commander or officer size with a rail. Love the LOK grips. Keep up the good work. I am 65 and go to indoor ranges and have to mask up. Be glad when we can breathe the air again and not worry.

I'm big on all the Springfield guns especially those 1911's so I'd take that Ronin all day long. For that DW price you can almost get a TRP which is just for my money the best production 1911 you can get.

I was considering this DW before Covid19 when it was 999 at BDU. I have a hard time with single stack 1911 with all the options out there. In 45acp have both the Para Ordinance P12 LDA and traditional design trigger. In 9mm Wilson X9S and Bul Viper.. Waiting on the DWX Compact, hopefully 2021. The Staccato C2 is on my 2021 list.

I got soooo lucky with my Wesson. I traded it 90days after purchasing it for a new Springfield Armory. I will never spend that kind of money again on a Wesson. I even have a Rock, and it's a better firearm.

Both are very good, but that SA Ronin at $800 current retail price is one heck of a deal, the Vigil while being a little higher quality overall is running $1400 so for just $200 more you can have both the 9mm & the 45acp Ronin’s in commander or Government models or any combination there of, I believe even the 10mm is running same price or pretty close, imagine that $1600 bucks & you got yourself a pair of high quality pieces, then just get you a set of LOK grips of your liking for about another $100 bucks & those will instantly improve the feel of the firearm in your hand, on the trigger it’s just the actual shoe that’s polymer, the internals is metal, nice video guys & nice shooting as well, specially at 30 yards,

@@BERETTA9mmUSA You are correct that they are Made in USA, that’s a great point & makes it even better, I had forgotten that, i gotta tell sir every time i bring a 9mm 1911 wether it’s a commander or full size to the range & i get questions about it from folks that are not familiar with the platform, usually let the run a mag or two, they fall in love with the precision of the trigger, recoil impulse, how good they can be with it, usually i get why doesn’t my XYZ polymer shoot like this, not that there’s anything wrong with XYZ polymers, i own plenty of them from micro compacts to full duty, but a good 1911 is a different deal & theres plenty of good ones out there, thanks for what you guys do,

Wow Man! That does suck! I apologize, I have never had that happen from our very large Gun Store. I just assumed that would be the case everywhere if some one was willing to wait 3 or 4 months, then they would get their pistol. Beretta Sr. 8 to 12 months on Custom 1911s.

I have the new Colt LW COMMANDER and love it. 100% reliable with everything I have fed through it, FMJ, hollowpoints, semi wadcutters, no problems. Very accurate 45 acp pistol. I would love to see a comparison between it and those pistols. I don't have rust on my hammer but then it is blued.

@@sigberetta72 I love it. This is my second lw commander and I also had a Kimber pro carry 2 which is close to the same in feel. I have had steel framed commanders and full-size government models and prefer the lw commander. I can't really explain why but the felt recoil seems less to me than the steel framed ones. I also had a sig p220 in 45acp that I hated shooting and sold it because of the recoil. I am 69 years old so I can only speak from my experience.

I just added the 9mm 4.25" Ronin to my safe. It's a really nice pistol but the trigger definitely needs some loving to make it fine. I'll put in a Wilson sear and hammer and grips and XSS sights and will be my EDC pistol.

SA makes a fine 1911, but I do like my Vigil cco 9mm. I searched hi and low for the 45 acp Vigil cco and was unable to get one. Ended up with SA RO compact which is a quality 1911 without breaking the bank.

To be honest Dan Wesson needs to move out of Liberal New and go to a freedom loving State like the Dakotas or Nebraska or Kansas anywhere that's freedom loving will do. Hell even Idaho or Wyoming or Montana will do. Dan Wesson is a great company it just needs to move to a State that allows them to produce their guns without worry.

Les Baer is twice as good over DW in both our opinions. A true hand built Custom for a very good price compared to a Top of Line production pistol. We own more then 10 Les Baer and I am down to 3 Dan Wesson 1911s. 🤠👍🇺🇸👮🏻‍♂️⭐️ B9USA Sr.

@@yngzaklynch I consider them to all be about equal in Quality, and the Les Baer to be a better value at about $1,000 less per pistol. Nighthawks and Wilson are a bet on the expensive side.

Do you have a mask on for 10 hours a day and you carry a Gun everyday????? Think you might want to practice a bit shooting that way?? Just in case , while you are in the middle of a worldwide pandemic..... what if you have to shoot someone while your mask is on and your eyeglasses are fogging up. This is just a guess here my friend, but it seems that the Dan Wesson 1911 pistols that have been manufactured in the last 12 to 15 months do not have rust issues. I think maybe Dan Wesson changed up their steel just a little bit. This is nothing but guesswork from me, and if you called the company I doubt they would say anything about it. When other Subscribers called Dan Wesson they acted like they did not have a rust issue going. So for what it’s worth, I think you’ll be OK, as we have 3 or 4 owners on this video saying that they purchased their Dan Wesson’s in 2020 and have no rust issues. They are a great 1911s, and I love this one even with rust on the hammer. I mean look at that Dan Wesson 1911. :) 🥳💯👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Beretta Sr.

I have a V-bob 10mm made in 2018 and my hammer is rusty but my Valkyrie is not ...kinda depressing on a $2k 1911 but they are fantastic guns.

Have 1911 spring field and Dan Wesson Virgil suppressor ready I like them both but my opinion Dan Wesson is a lot better quality Springfield was a little loose
