There are frames against half guard as well. Knee shield could also be there. May be two separate DVDs are more profitable 😉

13:40 yes I had the same question. Maybe cup/hold behind the knee?
@tusccountyjiujitsu3 жыл бұрын
I know this might be blasphemy but Danaher says that traditional guard passing is different because once you get past the hips and try to do the "cranial shift" the opponent can frame and stop the pass but in half guard he blew right past the fact that once you get past the knee they can knee shield and or frame with their arms. Also was does he start with the knee up and then drop his knee back between Bernardos knees allowing him to trap it only to have to add a step to free the knee again and get to 3/4 mount?

@andrewmccarney4 жыл бұрын
I would think that this would not be your first choice when passing half guard as it requires you to give up the under hook, right? I don't think I would want to try this pass unless I messed up and allowed my opponent to get the underhook
@domd98373 жыл бұрын
i think it still works with the underhook. you would have to give up the underhook to apply the scapular crossface, but at that point you're in a really good position to finish the pass

first of all, I love these guys, their work, these videos, and everything they bring and give, but I'm still baffled at why the spokesman for this has THAT voice... where is he from? where do I learn it? My ability to impersonate people will be stifled till I've researched and know everything about manifesting THAT voice.
@geekdiggy3 жыл бұрын
i think using a boom mic would lessen the distraction from the nose-breather behind the camera. sounds like darth vader trying to interrupt darth danaher.
@islrubsca23303 жыл бұрын
I cant believe more people aren't mentioning this. This is so hard to listen to with the constant nose breathing directly into the mike. Its mental! If the whole series is like this it would be absolute torture.
