We are in the same situation today. The DNC ripped the rug out from Bernie and Hillary could not beat Trump. So they’ve been fighting RFK Jr but Biden cannot beat Trump again. Please sign the petitions to allow RFK Jr on your state ballot and allow our Democracy to live

My heart aches at the thought of how much we could have accomplished with Bernie at the helm. Money out of politics is the first step to fix so many of our problems, if not most of them.

Public colleges USED TO BE practically free in the U.S. I left college in 1983 owing loan payments of $60.83 a month. I didn't borrow a dime until senior year. My parents were not impoverished. They owned a house and a car, and Dad had a Union job. How soon we forget.

This is why it helps Americans to open up to the world and travel. Free education and health care is in all developed countries, not only developed but some underdeveloped countries too have better cover than we do here, not to say their education is better. Our education here is a joke and an embarrassment.

Bernie - I just purchased my monthly (2) number of books. In June, I'll be able to purchase your new book. Congratulations to you on your new book! I voted for you in the Washington state 2020 primary. I did not support Biden. He should have retired at that time of his life. I liked him as President Obama's VP. I'm for term limits in Congress. I saw that you are going to run for your Senate seat again. Congress does need your leadership but you deserve a happy retirement with your wife. We need new generations of leadership in Congress. I'm for term limits now. Our younger generations need to become involved in our policy decisions. I was a lifelong voting Democrat and am now an Independent. I'm supporting #RFKJR and am planning to vote for him to be our next president. Good luck with the sales of your new book!

I'm at my wits end when it comes to corporate greed. It appears that the government gives all the tax breaks to the greedy at the expense of the needy. Like I said during the pandemic, universal health care looks good, now. A free liberal higher education is one of the best investments government can make in its future.

As an international observer, it is my humble opinion that that US democracy would greatly benefit from moving to a genuine multiparty system by introducing rank choice voting. Binary politics is toxic. Get a prop on the ballot in your state ❤️

One of the reasons we are out ranked on education is because those countries that are consistently ranking at the top have very low child poverty rates. The US has one of the highest child poverty rate in all advanced economic countries.

In advanced nations, citizens are considered investments and free college a small price for long term gains for the entire country. In the US, citizens are a commodity and college is a business model for short term profit, for the few.

Yeah cultural in the US can be super weird sometimes. Sometimes if feels like if you care about other people for whatever reason it’s disincentivized. It’s almost as if caring about another person or people such as their health, mental health etc is equating with communism and it’s a strange line to draw imo. I’m with you Bernie!

To start learning the us (leaders and public) need to get off their high horse. What the USA needs is a moment of self reflection. I am from the netherlands and Bernie Sanders would be center-left on the political scale. And the netherlands is far from a communist state. Even though the us helped us after ww2 at some point the guide needs to realise their student had surpassed them

Healthcare as a human right is not a radical idea. I agree, but we need people to eat healthier, get more exercise, and not use drugs, and I don't see the democratic commitment to those ideas. In our Country, people live under enormous stress and anxiety. I agree with that, too. I don't see the commitment to quality work over quantity work in the republican party. If kids are going to learn, they have to be excited and want to learn, I agree with Bernie Sanders on that too. Bernie might be right that we should have sports and culture instead of longer school days with endless homework assignments.

@27:11 “[Liberals] love America just as much as [Republicans] do. But in a different way. You see, they love America like a 4-year-old loves his mommy. Liberals love America like grown-ups. To a 4-year-old, everything Mommy does is wonderful and anyone who criticizes Mommy is bad. Gain a few braincells buddy, 1) Under capitalism more people have died than under any other economic system in the world. 2) You're comparing The US to The USSR or CCP, what about a capitalist nation like The DRC? You never talk about the nations unduly exploited for capital gains, just the ones that have exploited the most and this succeeded the most. Under Mao more people were lifted out of abstract poverty than ever before, I'm not defending Mao as he was a tyrannical totalitarian dictator. Bernie is a social democrat not a Marxist...

What we need is a solid middleground. Something that limits inflation through proper regulation on the capitalist side, while taking advantage of taxes more responsibly. Capitalism also fails eventually, due to overzealous price gouging and mass accumulation of wealth at the top. "Trickle down economics" only exists when there are regulations in place to ensure that the trickle-down happens.
