I don’t know why everybody don’t like the short second hand. If you are familiar with the Brand Mondaine, you know that it should be a Swiss railway station watch. And they use a second hand that looks like a railway sign 😎 in my opinion it looks like that and like the one at the original watch.

They should recreate the Stop2Go movement which Mondaine used to put in their watches and no longer sells. It would sell like hotcakes

Thanks for the review and for presenting a lot of strap combinations. I got mine just today from the Aliexpress sales. I am very satisfied with it, the price is pretty incredible for the build quality, the massive lume, sapphire glass on front and back and a very nice and solid milanaise bracelet! This is by far the cheapest watch I ever bought, but not the one that feels the cheapest! If I could change one thing it may be a bit bigger date and date window, but that would be nitpicking.

I got the first edition last year . It fits 7 1/2 wrist just fine. My attitude is the mesh bracelet is fine so that's a plus. And the lume is a big plus. So I've got the black version on order.

Wow. It looks just like those old school Eastern European PRAGOTRON clocks I am in love with. Naturally I just ordered one of these with a custom logo, same as the clocks haha.

Haven't seen those ones. This one is a homage to the swiss railway clocks, or the Mondaine watches. But yup, really close to the Pragtron clocks indeed. Nice And clean. You'll love it

Great review as always, Steve. I love the watch, it's value is obvious, but, in my old age I would have preferred they make it in 38mm with 20mm lugs. Berny, forget what you're doing this weekend, make it so!

The 22mm is great for that size. Its much better for bigger wrists, I'm usually down to the second to last hole on 20mm straps (unless its a diver strap).

The unlumed bright white dial is much nicer. Add the silver Milanese strap and you have a classy looking watch.

I agree the white is the best look but I've got a Mondaine so I think I'll get the lume for the sake of variety.

I bought the numeral dialed one last year, still one of my favorites. I'm a bit worried that Berny is trying too hard to move this model up market without addressing some of the things most were willing to excuse on account of the previous model's bargain price. And i'll never understand the 22 mm lug width especially in light of Berny using 20 mm lugs on its similarly sized compressor model.

The strap design is bad from my POV. I switch for a black suede leather strap and it looks great and feels very comfortable. Only complain with the watch for the price is the difficulty to read date when angled.

Great looking homage! I’ve always been scared away by the name brand, but I’m getting over it…especially with the addition of the logo on this dial. It takes some of the attention away from the name! But price vs specs and looks are winning…

When I saw the logo on the rotor I thought "Great! Small touch that makes it a bit more attractive." But then, I noticed that the logo is crooked. I know it most likely isn't but it does look applied. Wouldn't want that detaching at some point.
