I love the discourse with the big 3, it was an informational casual conversation giving the strength and weaknesses of the moments for each series. I agree with the take of fans attached to their favorite series having this personal and subjective lens when they try other series, thus making us agree and disagree.

Loved the podcast. Loved the themes. I personally read most of the manga in chunks. Very few of series I read weekly/monthly. Regarding One Piece, I am so into fandom I can't just hold it for couple of months. I read as soon as TCB drops it.

I can’t even imagine reading wano week to week. Wano is one of my favorite arcs and the main reason for that is probably because I didn’t read it week to week and I waited. This also happened to the one piece community with whole cake. People hated it for awhile until it became a fan favorite. But wano is even longer than whole cake so the hate was huge for wano. Also when it comes to the big like The masked man said it’s kind of hard to argue against one piece. I think objectively all around as a story and characters it’s just overall better than naruto and bleach. They’re all really solid great manga and definitely deserve there title as the big three.

With every year people look at modern titles and forget the old ones. Katekyo Hitman Reborn fanbase is almost nonexistent... Though in Japan it is still popular.

ALso I would love for you guys to give Bartender manga a try. It's one of my fav manga and I find it pretty inspirational and thought provoking. It's also the type of manga that you can consume slowly if you want.

Man rereading stuff... Sometimes I think I better read new things, though if it has been longest time I will reread books/manga. Currently I am rereading Harry Potter. Last time I read entirety of it was 2007 or 2008. I am at part 3 right now and it is very good. It progressively gets better with every book.

i wonder if you'd like to talk about LNs, because i got some good series × The Saga of Tanya The Evil (Light Novel ver. focused more into military tactics and some other stuff compared to the manga and anime) × Faraway Paladin . A very eye-opening LN, sadly the anime adaptation follows the generic isekai trope, and to make thigs worse, its animation just sucks. it defies what the novel explicitly avoids × Goblin Slayer . I'm into it only for its references × Min-maxing my TRPG Build in Another World . Titles can be deceiving. Vol. 1's pacing is a bit janky since its chapters are divided into seasons, but oh boy, Schuld, the author, really improved in vol. 2-3. I'm brave enough to say that it is better than overLord, I'm a spider, and Reincarnated Slime. btw, 1 volume would take around 3-5 hours to finish, so yeaaa.....
