I'm becoming obsessed with the dynamic between these two. Taylor is so patient and the dad energy is so strong in Bert

If he would let her speak instead of making everything about him. Its brutal. She starts talking and he immediately interrupts her to talk about him. So annoying.
@justbrowsing5279 Жыл бұрын
@@ScottH. I wouldn't go that far but you're not dead wrong. I've just watched the previous 2 episodes with her (they were great) and my immediate impression of this one is that he's super keyed up. Like maybe on coke. But it literally might just be him being nervous now that she is a huge success. Hard to say. He seems super nervous by comparison to the previous 2 episodes with her. Even the intro was uncomfortable. As a callback to a previous episode with her, he seems a little uncomfortable in his own skin. Maybe he's just giddy to be hangin out with her again.

I do find his choice of language a little odd. Like on the one hand, its true, he's really sweet and personable it seems, and always entertaining to listen to, but then he's constantly dropping F bombs in casual conversation. Call me old school, but that always rubs me the wrong way, especially when you're talking to a woman. I was raised to watch your language, and seeing a lot of these guys (not just comedians but men in general) just constantly saying F this and F that. . .. save that for the bedroom or something.
@mtfan2 жыл бұрын
@@BattleBladeWarrior first day on the internet? Carlin taught this generation that the words mean nothing - it’s the intent and context that makes it good or bad.
@BattleBladeWarrior2 жыл бұрын
@@mtfan True, but no one said Carlin was raised to be a gentleman either. I was raised that when you're constantly dropping F bombs, it shows a lack of education, because you don't have the words to speak properly. For example, "Thats f*cking incredible" instead of "thats absolutely incredible" and so on. And just speaking from my experience, most people I know that can't stop swearing are assholes. i'm not saying Bert is, or a lot of other people, I'm just saying so far, the guys I know who use that language in general conversation constantly are the most unhinged and self centered people I know. So, just going off first impressions, when someone talks like that, and its not for comedy, I uestion their character.

Great podcast Bert, love the guests in these recent ones! Taylor is awesome, saw her on ymh and can't seem to get enough of her since. Great attitude. What you guys discussed about people feeling like they deserved something more but you got the chance, so they become resentful etc. I would say that definitively isn't just in comedy, but something that i've noticed in life overall. A lot of the times, at least in my experience, the people who become resentful and start trying to tear you down because of your success are people that would never have succeeded anyway. It's the complete opposite mentality of what is needed to succeed, in what ever field you're in. :) Again, great podcast guys!

Also, In my opinion, if you're genuinely "woke", you understand that it's a path/journey that we're all on to learning, growing, expanding, and evolving & if you don't have the patience for others to be where they're at on their journey, which may involve a foot or two in the mouth then you're sort of a hypocrite because that's not being very compassionate or "woke"., but that's just my bold ass opinion, lol, but I'm a former psychotherapist so I was woke before woke was woke, lol.

This was another awesome podcast with 2 comedians I highly adore! Bert is the real deal and Taylor is hilarious as always. I will say though, having listened to this podcast and many other interviews documentaries, etc. . . I do find it very strange that comedians/rockstars/celebs can freely talk about personally using illegal drugs like cocaine, with no repercussions, where as a "normal" person would be arrested for doing drugs. If they're talking about it, they're admitting to having done drugs before, so I don't understand why no ones pressing charges on these guys??? Maybe they already have? I'm not sure. Nothing against them personally, but it just seems like, if we're going to have rules at all then we should all be treated equally when it comes to punishment. Especially when it comes to the rich. A crack addict off the street probably cant afford to pay for any charges relating to drug possession, whereas celebs could easily fines for it, and you already have video evidence of them admitting to doing drugs, so why doesnt anything ever happen???
