I've only seen two better saves than that. Jamie McMurray's save in the Car of Tomorrow and Jimmie Johnson's 2006 spin.

As an American I frequently wonder what NASCAR is like to racing fans outside of the country, particularly in Japan. (Big initial d/GT(300/500) fan) I’ve seen a few reaction videos but this is the best I’ve found on the outside perspective of nascar from Japanese drivers! Love it! I wonder how Keichii would like the Next Gen car with its new GT inspired setup.

Since it wasn't mentioned, I'll list the estimated specifications of the engines. I will use metric, as the predominant audience of Best Motoring is Japanese. Unfortunately, since I don't know any Japanese, they will have to use the in-built Google Translate function that KZbin has implemented. All three of the top divisions used 5,860cc carbureted 90 degree V8 engines, with the Cup series switching to electronic fuel injection in 2012. In the 1990s, cars either had restrictor plates or they didn't. On a medium-length track like California Speedway (renamed Auto Club Speedway), the cars ran unrestricted, with Cup cars producing close to 850PS. Since the West and Busch series ran smaller carburetors, power output was closer to 650PS. The maximum engine speed of these engines can be raised or lowered by the race teams through an ignition cutting rev limiter, but they generally didn't exceed 9000RPM until the 2000s. On the large 4.8km superspeedways Daytona and Talladega, the cars were restricted to around 450PS through the use of an intake restrictor plate, limiting top speed to around 310KM/H. If ran at full power, the cars can and would exceed 360KM/H. The cars used 4-speed manual transmissions modified for race use. In the hands of a skilled driver, shift times can rival that of even the best sequential manual transmissions. Approximate weight is 1600kg.
As DW would say, that car was evil. He was battling it all weekend while it was trying to snap out from under him at every opportunity

If you trying sim racing with 20-30 cars at 300+kph and think about it you need formation follow slip- stream behind other (very hard) the same time you need to pay attention on the tire wear, (to keep the car on track) fuel and temperature etc ... It is so frustrating in the process...
Lol I never knew how hard it is to drive at that speed 😂 like a circle ⭕️
