It was a very exciting battle with legendary drivers and excellent top drivers that time. I was surprised that Aguri Suzuki, F1 podium driver, was not used to on road NSX.

Damn lol Gan-San actually bumped him. Even against a former F1 driver the dude's as terrifying as ever to race against.
Back then, Japanese cars were 100% all made by Japanese. Pure JDM, simple, cheap and fast.

inline 4 Lan Evo and Subaru STI are famous to be very fast back in 90's yeah ! Both Subaru and Mitsubishi even made some specials limited models as this EVO TME, which are even faster !

Basically there are no differences between 2 same cars but conditions of their own. Best Motoring racers asked the best Japanese racers they thought to join the special race and decide who is the best (no serious but fun, at first). So each offerer and offeree used the same type of cars with the same grade. Best Motoring assigned cars, GTRs are for them. NSXs for those guys ... and so on. Among the different type of cars, they are different obviously. Once the race started, all racers turned into be serious not just for fun. However Aguri Suzuki misunderstood there would be a formation lap before start, because of the lack of advance arrangements by Best Motoring. During the race, the narrator made apologies to Aguri again and again. At the end, they said they wants to race once a year, with the same members.

97 Bambo As in real life ! Two exact same cars model, won't run as good as the other one, for the simple reason they're not brand new cars, but already used ! So depend they're conditions, how the real owners used them, and even just the tires or the last changing oil can have an impact on performances !

Hope4NewDay1 Yeah ! Most people don't expect from RX7 FD3S, but they are really fast models in corners and in high speed long straight lines. It's like the NSX R, the RX7 only between 1100 and 1230 kg. And the compact Rotary engine make the RX7, a perfect 50/50 WD, on an amazing chassis ! Bi turbo sequential (small turbo down rpm and bigger turbo in high rpm). Can push these cars hard on circuits!

lightweight, powerful turbo rotary, low center gravity, pure sports car chassis design, there's no reason it would be slow.
The evo would of gone way way ahead if the nsx wasn't holding it up.

Kinda disappointed on those old NSX S, even they're NA2 phase 1, they're chassis isn't enough updated and improved as the NA2 phase 2. Better Best Motoring was running some NSX S Zero or NSX R NA1!

On average the Tommi is the best car on all circuits
This race showed two things about the NSX original set-up... 1) rear tires were too small for dry conditions but great for rain, showing what Honda's always been making : better overall balance... but losing their edge in specific situations 2) Bridgestone were a poor choice of tires and always have been for cars... for bikes, they're OK. Partnership in motorsports had unfortunately paired showroom Honda's with poor rubber... I love the NSX though... I want one with better tires ;)

Not a surprise to me. I knew the one with AWD and skinnier tires would win. I figured the Viper would spin out first to be honest but I knew the F40 wasn't winning this one.
