Glad they upgraded this clamp mechanism. I have 8 K body REVO clamps and as great as they are for all the reason you mentioned, I have consistently had problems getting the clamp to clamp consistently without fussing around with them. Wish I had waited for the upgrade as they are not cheap.

Robert, great review, a none BS review! Have you done a shop tour yet? I am thinking of using part of our basement for a shop, detached garage is getting a bit chilly, looking for ideals on space needs, noise control, and of course dust control. Another issue is odor control with finishing items.

I wish they had put a V2 or something in the name to make it easier to identify the new version when ordering online.

you can tell the difference. the newer ones look alot sleeker and nicer than the older ones.

This doesn't help someone ordering online because the descriptions are the same. There is no guarantee that you will get the new version.

Great video and would like to find out if those optional accessories would fit the old Revo clamps. Also, where we live Home Depot put all the Bessey products on clearance (and I bought about half of what they had including 6 36" Revo's) and started carrying Dewalt clamps which are all knock offs of Bessey. Great video and I will be picking up some of the accessories!

i did the same..i was so happy that the old lady at the first HD called ahead and made sure that the other 3 local HDs had them and would honor the price i got them at the first one .i got a total of 14-50",14-24",14-12" revos.. 14-12", 14-6" clutch style and 14-2" spring clamps.. i saved roughly 600$ on them all.. i will eventually get the extenders and couple jaw adapter down the road.. but for now im lovin my bessey clamp setup

for me it was a few months back.. my local HD was getting rid of all their bessey clamps and put them on clearance.. i was able to get 13$ off each the 50" clamp,11$off for the 24, and 10$ off for the 12, 6$ off for the 12" c clamps, 3$ off the 6" c clamps, and 1.50$ off the 2" spring style. From what the managers said at my local HDs only a few HDs will be caring bessey while majority will switch over completely to dewalt clamps..

The expense is my biggest issue. I would need 10 of each size to really make using that system of clamps worth wild. Even then I am likely going to need more clamps for glueups. For pipe clamps. If I need longer pipe clamps I go to a commercial heating and cooling shop and get them done that way. Couplers are nice but I usually use pipe clamps for large panels so I end up setting the wood directly on taped pipes. There's less set up that way. Right now I have 2 ft, 4 ft and 6 ft bars with the 4 ft being installed most of the time.

Great points - price IS a factor with these

To equip myself for the bare minimum with these clamps it's 2K easy. Where I live in Ontario we are looking at just over 50$ for a 18 inch clamp to just under 70$ for a 50 inch clamp.

wait it out for when your local HD has them on clearence again,.. i bought a total of 14-50",14-24",14-12" revos.. 14-12", 14-6" clutch style and 14-2" spring clamps.. i saved roughly 600$ on them all..

SKYnet HR-69 - Where I live in Canada Homedepot doesn't seem to sell these clamps. Where they do you are looking from 70-100$ a clamp. Now just to give you an example i can get similar style clamps from a quality brand for half that price. I am not saying that Bessey is not a quality clamp. I own some bessey clamps and I use them in my everyday. I just can't justify double the price for something when an other clamp from a company that I also have clamps by and never had an issue with is standing on a shelf.

Ok so i went out and bought 8 of these new clamps and i already have a problem. First time i touched a clamp the handle screw came out of the clamp completely...I can not find a way to insert the ball end back into the socket. I emailed Bessey some pics so we will see what they say. Lady on the phone says she never heard of this before. Defect from the factory or what? Im no stranger to clamps...Have origional KBodys and old Revos too and never a problem.

jeremy s def a defect and quality control issue. Let us know what they say
@jeremys59046 жыл бұрын
Well im disappointed in Bessey. They say that is normal and the clamp is designed to come apart. They say to insert the handle back in and give it a light "tap" or a spirited "tap". I have tried to hammer it back in and it just wont go. I asked them if they have info about this on their website or a video showing the process and they did not answer to that. So they tell me to send it back to them but they dont pay shipping. I told them i will just return it to home depot. I have been a woodworker for 24 years and own over 500 clamps and this is the first problem with any clamp i have ever had. Can you do a test with one of your clamps and make a video of it?

I know this is unrelated to the video, but what would you recommend between the Makita 18 v subcompact and the Milwaukee m12 lineups? I've seen reviews for both products, but I which is best and why?!
@NameNaameNameeNaamee6 жыл бұрын
Go with the Makita. They have the largest selection of 18V tools and none of them are bad, most of them are great actually. No other manufacturer offers that many tools with such a high density of quality within one range. They are at over 200 18V tools by now - they bought Dolmar/Sachs who do build chainsaws, lawnmowers and the like of highest quality, so you are equally well set both for your workshop and your garden applications. www.makita.de/fileadmin/user_upload/Neuer_Maschinenkreis.png With cordless, you never just buy a tool, you invest in a system. And the best system right now in terms of selection, charging times, longevity and overall quality level is makita. They just are, they invested heavily over the past years and that did pay out. The tools do not always win the spec sheet wars, but they are super solid and always well thought through. They are priced very moderately as well. Plus on a general note an 18V system simply gives you a lot more to work with compared to a 12V system.

Bessey is the best. I still have some Jets..the quality on Jet is hit or miss...i have about 30- 24" and they are anything but parallel..Jet would do nothing about it Screw jet i will never spend another penny with them.
