@@amrendrathakur3716 We now have 6,000 miles on our Atlas. Still love it and we haven't had anything that has needed service yet. But they recently announced a recall. We haven't had any of the issues described or determined if our Atlas is included. We have the SEL model. I think it is the sweet spot for features at a decent price. We especially love the roving headlights that light up corners, the VW Digital Cockpit, and the infotainment system (where you can have your FM, Internet, and Satellite favorites show up on the same screen). Wireless Apple CarPlay works well plus the infotainment doesn't get in the way of your sight lines with the tacked on iPad look. The ride is quiet and comfortable and is awesome on the highway. We chose the captain's chairs for room and easy access to the third row. Cars are cars so I expect we will have some issues down the road. I purchased the 2021 Highlander Platinum solely based on reliability. I didn’t even consider the other manufacturers. As an owner of a towing company… we don’t tow very many Toyota’s, and if we do, it’s never for a drivetrain issue. I can’t recommend Lexus and Toyota’s enough… if they were the only brand available, the towing business wouldn’t exist. I know that people hate Kia and Hyundai bashing, but let me tell ya, the conversations that I’ve had with the service departments have been very eye opening. Their mechanics have nothing but terrible things to say about the drivetrain; so many stories about frequent engine and transmission failures. Kia/Hyundai make aesthetically pleasing vehicles, but I’m not sure how well they hold up in the long run. I suppose they are decent lease vehicles.

The infotainment screen for the newly released fifth generation Jeep Grand Cherokee L is way better. That infotainment screen is more integrated to the dashboard. It comes in 8.4 inches or 10.1 inches depending on trim levels. The overall exterior design of the Explorer isn't appealing enough. It has that crouching and looking up stance. I wanted to love the Explorer ST. Drove one and smiled like a kid as I flew down off ramps. Then when we got back to the dealership - realized just how horrible the interior is. To say the interior is worst in the segment doesn’t go far enough. The Mazda CX-9 is a great two row SUV - but is a terrible option if you need to use the third row with any regularity. It is cramped and if you use it - has terrible storage behind the third row. The nail in the coffin for those of us down south that needed to use the third row on a daily basis. It doesn’t have A/C vents in the third row. So after you squeeze back there in the Texas summer - you have no dedicated vents back there. It would be a torture chamber in the summer. We ended up with a KIA Telluride SX Prestige. Best in class.

I drove multiple Highlanders and Tellurides for 2 months before picking put the Telluride. I spent the entire time wanting to like the Toyota because of its history but the Telluride blows it out for the water. I kept asking the salesman if the Highlander had this option or this option and time and time again they said no. At which point I would inform them that the Telluride had those options. The interior for the kids if light years ahead of the Highlanders Take 4 kids on test drive in both and watch the difference as they try to get into the 3rd row With the Captain chairs I have in my prestige package, moving around back there as an adult is very easy. The Highlander was very cramped just trying to move around. The ventilated and heated seats in front and 2nd row have been very useful. The kids love the screens on the mid row windows and they love the views the sunroof and moonroof supply for them. They love all the USB ports and cup holders. I can't be more happy with the Telluride. As I've said in several comments in this chat. This car is a head turner. I have people in luxury cars complimenting me on a daily basis and women are asking me questions about my car on a regular basis. Women don't start conversations with men by asking what color the car is, or commenting on how nice your car is, or how they like your car if it's a 💩 Any man with a brain knows exactly why they're opening conversations with you and going out of their way to do so. I do love the hater comments in chat though. It makes me laugh knowing if I pulled up next to you in one of the other vehicles mentioned in this video, the ladies wouldn't look twice at you and would be all about starting a convo with me or giving me a knowingly smile as they continue to look in my direction. Without the compliments I would still love this car but wow the compliments are off the charts when I'm driving around. The results are in and this vehicle was a phenomenal choice. Oh and it pays to be smart and pay the extra 💰 for the fully loaded Telluride and be willing to wait the time it takes to deliver the one you choose straight from the factory. My Telluride looks very different than most of them and it's shows when I pull up near one. I see most of them driving by and looking at my Telluride and very likely wishing they had spent the extra money to get the one I did. There is a reason Kia has made the black grill standard on the 2022 Telluride. That alone was a very distinct difference, amongst all the other rims and other visual changes between the SX/Nightfall/Prestige package and any other SX or lesser trim of the Telluride. Whatever you decide to go with, spend the extra money 💰to get what you truly want. Especially if that vehicle holds its resale value like the Telluride has. I've out 8k miles on mine and could probably resell it for what I paid for mine. Most vehicles lose a large chunk of value as soon as you drive it off the lot.

Now that the new generation 5th generation Jeep Grand Cherokee L got released and new generation Nissan Pathfinder, those two vehicles might make you guys reshuffle the deck of cards for the top 10 list. As for the mid-size third row seating SUVs mentioned in this video, the just released Jeep Grand Cherokee L has the advantage. To name just a few advantages right outta the gate, there will be six trim levels to choose from and two engine powertrains which are the 3.6 liter V6 along with the legendary 5.7 liter HEMI V8. Also, seat memory for the front passenger as well, massaging front seats, interior camera, more USB ports available (6 USB ports & 6 USB-C ports which are standard across all trim levels) and better towing capacity with the V6 coming in at 6,200 pounds while the V8 comes in at 7,200 pounds. Drove 2022 Nissan Pathfinder. Was really good. Surprised that Subaru Ascent didn’t make the list. In my experience it was better than pilot and comparable to Highlander. Want to stay away from Hyundai and KIA due to quality issues. They allocated 2 billion dollars to fix quality issues. Should have built quality car in the first place.

Ford Explorer or Dodge Durango all day! Although if you want reliability go ford. Dodge Durango was my favorite suv but the engine failed.. it was used so I wouldn’t say they’re all bad but they tend to have for issues than ford. I hate those v6 motors in the 3rd row suvs unless it has turbos

this video should be renamed "Best mid-sized 3-row SUVs for 2022". I don't think anything on this list besides the Durango and maybe the top trim Telluride will light a match space and performance-wise to an Escalade/Denali/Suburban, Armada/QX80, or Sequoia

I always wanted to understand the hype with the Highlander or Toyota in general and honestly outside of the reliability and 2 year complimentary regular maintenance, I just cannot grasp it. Having sold many Highlanders and Tellurides however and testing them myself there's no logical reason I can think of to not go with the Kia. Stylish, very up to date (or even a bit ahead), strong, and getting to there in reliability with the best warranty just makes sense that it would win.

I paid 56k out the door for my 2021 Kia Telluride SX AWD Gravity Gray Nightfall/Prestige packages and tow package 4k of that went to the state of Illinois 🤮 I'm loving my decision to special order the Telluride I wanted and I have zero regret over the price. TBH this car should be going for 55-66k It's a compliment machine, with endless bells and whistles throughout the vehicle.

@@deejones6446 Kia is long past 2009. Telluride designer were the bmw designers. Kia bought them out and now Kia cars are extremely beautiful and sought after. The interiors look exactly like BMWs. Smooth, clean, simple and quality materials.

I owned a Mazda CX-9 and though I liked this vehicle a lot the driving dynamics were just ok. I do not like the feel of a turbo engine. I much prefer a naturally aspirated engine.

Will never understand why the Telluride is so praised. Like, do y’all like it cause it’s cheap?? I usually like boxy SUV’s but it’s butt ugly. It doesn’t ride well, and the interior materials are terrible-especially considering you can get a Palisade or Traverse with much better materials for the same price after rebates.
@Orion22693 жыл бұрын
I've put 8k miles on my 2021 SX fully loaded. You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about if you think it doesn't ride well. This car is way underpriced and Kia deserves all the praise this vehicle is receiving.
@Lovelysoulgirl19843 жыл бұрын
Telluride runs between 40-60k and are far from cheap, let alone ugly. Inside is a duplicate of the bmw interior and was designed by bmw designers. Let that sink in 😏😊
