The pitching today is superior and this is why the offense is so incredible

Also loved how he mentioned jeters Oct numbers and signed off without talking about judges.

The caller was off base because Judge had a pretty terrific postseason in 2017 and 2018. In 2017 he hit multiple late clutch homers and 2018 he batted around .400

@@snerdterguson I'll give you 17, which was the last team with any heart. (2019 too) But that was also 7 years ago and since we've had it handed to us every year. Aren't you sick of it yet? Do you really feel like this team is all in? We'll see what the trade deadline moves are but sheesh dude they make it hard to root for them.

Where’s the Yankees fans that called in back in mid April telling the Yankees to bench Aaron judge tho 👀👀🤦🏿🤦🏿

Grew up on the 90s dynasty, but despite the fear of being excommunicated by Jeter, Alex Rodriguez's point was valid about being the focal point of the offense. When you're , for the most part, the sole consistent offense force in a lineup it is way different than being part of 4 or 5 big guys in the offense like Jeter. For a lot of his career, it's Judge comes through or they lose. A one man band. Feel like '22 in particular, he was just worn out after carrying the team on his back for 99 wins over 162. In 23, with him hurt, they were barely 500. Dont get me wrong, if I needed a big base hit, in a big spot, I'd probably take Jeter, but Judge deserves a little slack
@dbreiden830802 күн бұрын
A-Rod never should’ve opened his mouth and said that at that time because he was supposed to be Jeters best friend. However, what he said, wasn’t completely completely unfair from the standpoint of how great those Yankee teams were. Jeter was not the central part of that teams offense in terms of damage and being a threat. it was a valid point just poorly made by Alex.

Jeter is retired. This dude is acting like they are in the same team and Judge is getting more love.

Sadly I think Aaron Judge will fall into the Don Mattingly types. Loved for their professionalism and talent but just never got the chance to win much. The Yankees have never had a great team since 2009. Every year the rotation is a question mark and key pieces are always injury prone. That is no way to build a championship team let alone a dynasty like Jeter was blessed with.

Today's fans are as cynical and hostile about baseball performance as they are about politics. Judge's numbers are straight out of the 1930s or 1950s, back when there were essentially no relievers and if a starter got pulled they put in some washed up nothing to just get the last outs.

@@Im.not.gio_ They do disregard it. This clown also said Judge has never stepped up in a big moment in his life. That is complete nonsense. People forget how good Judge was in the 2017 ALCS or the 2018 ALDS. Hell Judge has even made spectacular plays in the field in the postseason as well. Can he be better in the playoffs? Yes. To act like he's never played well or had moments is asinine. He brought up Mike Trout. A guy who has barely even played in the playoffs in his career. The one time they did play they got beat in 3 games in the ALDS and Trout hit .083.

No doubt about it when healthy he is the best in the game But he doesn’t stay healthy It’s very likely when it’s all said and done that Pete Alonso will have better over all power numbers because HE stays on the field. As for the game its self it is simply not the same Pitchers don’t pitch today They simply Chuck it as hard as they can Hitters don’t hit They just swing for the fences Its a watered down game If Ted Williams played today he would hit .400 every year. Baseball is not a game anymore It’s just an event.
