Absolutely. If we have a hypothesis, test it, and find out it doesn’t work - that’s valid (and important!!) information for other scientists in proceeding forward. We need to know what doesn’t work to figure out what does! One problem that exists within the sciences is funded research: if the findings aren’t what the company wants, they likely aren’t going to want to proceed with publishing the results (and would rather just….kind of forget it). I don’t know how to resolve this - but I don’t love it. It leaves a fair bit of published data a bit one-sided 😕 Anyway sorry lol - going off. Point is: all the data matters and is important!

I don’t know that a comparison of the 10 AHC eye creams is possible, but maybe a discussion of ingredients is possible. From what I read, AHC has updated their eye cream with new science/technologies each year for the past ten years. Research has shown AHC makes the best selling eye creams purchased in Korea. Here’s the amazing thing though, they still make each of the past years, so if you love 2019’s version, for example, you can buy it. It is called the Real Eye Cream for Face, is in a 30 ml tube and can be used for more than the eyes. This is all I know, I have only recently learned about AHC’s eye creams and I have so little experience with skincare, despite my age, that I have only tried one eye cream.

For all of the peptides I’ve tried in all of the peptide classes, only TO Argireline has made a noticeable difference. I believe it does extend my Botox slightly and, although I can’t find any scientific reason why, using this then my C in the morning is better than just C for my dark spots. Strange but true.

Hi! So many great recommendations in this video! So many I use!! I just graduated to my G&G A-game 10. I think it's okay so far and not negatively impacting my skin. I am having a break out but no irritation, and there are honestly a lot of confounding factors that could be impacting that. But that .05 lasted FOREVER. So I have only used the white Canmake so far and I love it and have no white cast or pilling. I have the clear but haven't opened it yet. I need to reorganize everything and get a handle on what I have etc. I want to do a new g&g order but I think I need to prioritize finishing some open products first.

@AliceintheRabbitHole

That is so smart! Does the myolift encourage products prior to treatment? I noticed the Nuface/Bear don’t, but anecdotally, I have noticed I seem to see more from the serums I pair it with vs using the serums on their own. Microcurrent is such an interesting technology-I hope we see more published lit on it in the future!

I still loooove Ghost Democracy, with my favorite product of theirs being the cocoon cream. It’s SO thick and nourishing and is lasting me such a long time! I like the vitamin c as well - it’s a derivative (oil-soluble), so much easier to work with than L-AA. Although these days, I personally tend to just alternate L-AA into my routine carefully. But it’s a good option for anyone looking for something easier! Sadly I don’t think I’ve tried the oil, which I’m surprised at myself 🤔 I’ll have to grab it in my next order!

Thank you for yet another informative video. Have you found a certain ingredient in skincare that is prone to causing pilling?
@AliceintheRabbitHole
@AliceintheRabbitHole 2 жыл бұрын
I know some ingredients CAN contribute to it - like carbomer and silicone for example. However! It’s more of an issue of formulation. Those ingredients can appear in a product that pills or one that does not pill And of course, layering can also lead to pilling. That’s my theory as to why it happens with the Ordinary. That brand is made for layering, which is usually fine on its own - but I’m layering foundation, cream blush, powder on top of all of that. Hence my suspicion of why the Ordinary plus makeup = pilling 🤔

Hey Alice , this was a great video rounding up your top faves - love discovering new products through your channel :) Curious to know how your experience of high strength retinal compared to adapalene as I know you’ve used both? Which is more effective? Which is more irritating? I was using the G&G A Game 10 (0.1) retinal and it was mostly helping my acne with no irritation ( I have a similar skin type to you!) Recently went on adapalene 0.1 / clindamycin to really put a stop to some of the hormonal breakouts on the cheeks I still get however my skin is a bit irritated / dry / flaky. Stuck as to whether I should go back to retinal or just soldier through.
@AliceintheRabbitHole
@AliceintheRabbitHole 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah tbh…I’m in the same conundrum. I’ve been sticking with adapalene for months now, but I contemplate ALLLL the time going back to retinaldehyde. My skin was clear but not 100% clear with it (always our motivation right? Get that skin perfect vs close to perfect lol). With adapalene, my skin WAS more clear for a little while, but when I do have a breakout, it’s actually harder to clear. I think it’s that the dryness is more severe, which can easily lead to a domino effect of problems. I’m giving this my all, sticking with it as much as I can, but I would absolutely say adapalene is stronger. And if at 6 months or so I’m tired of the side effects - back to retinal for me lol!

It’s fantastic! I would say it’s similar to the Sioris cleanser, both of which are among my most used - you probably don’t need both as they’re on par for that super gentle creamy cleansing factor!

Please tell me when do you layer argireline in your routine?
@AliceintheRabbitHole
@AliceintheRabbitHole 2 жыл бұрын
Only on my forehead! I see no reason to apply it elsewhere And in a routine: serum step (forehead), matrixyl everywhere, then cosrx essence. That is an incredible system for me! If using retinol, I’d do that first (not currently using retinol)

What is the colour of your hair? It looks amazing!

Thank you! So it was pastel purple, but it faded into this ash color that…I don’t know, I almost like more than the purple?

@@AliceintheRabbitHole it seems like there were multiple colours in it, depends on how you turn your face to the light.

I tried to vary the intensity of the purple by mixing conditioner into different parts. What I can’t figure out is: that didn’t really show up. But now it’s visible!? I’m over here trying to figure out this sorcery lol!! 🤣😂

@@AliceintheRabbitHole it does, indeed look like magic. The colours appear to me mainly violet and blonde, and the slightly mixed silver, ash and a shade that I can't identify.

I've tried the Epionce and Skinceuticals brands for my combo/acne prone skin. I LOVE them but the price makes me cringe. What would be good alternatives for their products - moisturizers, microexfoliators, spot treatment/ masks?
@AliceintheRabbitHole
@AliceintheRabbitHole Жыл бұрын
I haven’t tried too much from those brands, but I can confidently say I prefer the G&G c-glow to skinceuticals (oh wait I think it’s this video where I say that? Or one of my videos lol). For an acne spot treatment, my HG is Kate Somerville’s eradikate, which while somewhat pricey does go on 50% off deals 😊

I keep hearing you talking about your acne-prone skin (which isn’t visible on KZbin, btw…) I’m a very ancient almost 50 year old who is known for very good skin (sun dodger and tretinoin user for 25 years) but I have alopecia and I am looking at your mermaid locks with envy and sighing!!!

So what’s your fave masks and retinol that are affordable??
@AliceintheRabbitHole
@AliceintheRabbitHole 2 жыл бұрын
Retinol - tbh it’s the No 7 because I like to combine peptides and retinol together. But I’m currently using adapalene (differin or effaclar), which is a stronger retinoid, $30 a tube but I suspect it will last a very long time - just posted how I use it if you’re interested Masks - totally depends on what you’re going for. K-beauty for sheet masks (dry skin), lots of clay mask options for oily skin at the US drugstore. HTH!
